Most agree getting paid (financial stability) is the number one concern when posting up offshore, after that many things go into choosing a sportsbook:

Bonuses
Reduced Juice
Lines (non-vanilla)
Props
Software
etc.

Where is customer service on the list of things you look for when choosing a book to post-up at?

For me its after all those things you mentioned.

I'm not looking for friends or pleasant people to talk to....I'm looking for nice numbers to bet.

Marketing is a necessity for most. When a CS rep has the people skills to make whatever a nice experience, then that in essence is good marketing. Poor CS is a reflection upon the ownership of a book.

Customer Service in my opinion is one of the tops. I think it's the tangible part of un intangible service. If the guy on the phone doesn't speak Good English it definitely leaves a bad taste in my mouth. It's also nice to be treated with respect when you are talking to the clerks. (Not something most of us are used to in this Industry

) Good CS does carry a book a long way, but as mentioned by all here before GETTING PAID IS TOPS!!!!

Easy.

Reduced juice is #1 for me after getting paid. I can work around bad CS one way or another. A good bonus would be nice too.

A great book doesn't need much in the way of customer service. When you do usually need CS?

1. Trying to get paid. The best have it automated, so you have your Neteller money in 10 minutes, and never have to talk to anyone.

2. Misgraded bets. Again, the best books rarely make mistakes (or post "bad lines", or eat it if they do).

3. Applying bonuses. Again, the best books automatically gives you whatever bonus, without an email or telephone call.

Great customer service is a bandaid for problems that are easily prevented.

Good customer service handles a lot more than bad line, or pay-out problems. New posts ups, bonus, wagering rules, rollover, how-to pay or get paid (non-problem), match-play, accidental bets, and more are every day functions of CSD. When you have good people working a well run CSD. this stuff runs smoothly, and goes un-noticed. Another CSD function that goes un mentioned is the ability for a player to have contact with management when the player feels it is necessary. How frustrating is it for a player to be told that he cannot talk to a manager.

i think good CS is critical, especially considering how competitive the business is.

This is a very telling quote. I think most would be done no matter how squre when told they cannot walk a chain of command.
