I saw NJ -1 at HOME against the lowly knicks....that are not to good on the road...I played NJ small...its not over yet but Jersey is winning now...I just want to ask the experts here was that what they call a trap line or softline that I recognized?

thanks im just curious as it seemed it should have been -3 or 4 with the injuries the knicks have and there road woes.

thanks for any comments.

Line opened 2 witha ML of +126 at pin 11a EST

1) K. Martin and Kidd are both out
2) Not a true home game as there is a large contingent of knicks fans

P. Hardaway was ? but ended up playing. There was seemingly good value on the stale ML of +120 and up earlier today as pin closed +103.

I would have easily bet the knicks at +120 or higher before the move but was at work with the phone ringing. A bet I'd make tomorrow if the situation arose.

Anyhow, I'm watching right now and you look to be in some decent shape against the decimated knicks.

Dante,

To answer your Q you would have to look at what the other books were dangling. Not a soft line.

not to mention that every square loves to bet against a team when they are missing their best player or players in this case...everybody bet against the sixers last night and against New orleans the night before..public money was big on the Knicks tonight...big win for the sportsbooks on this one
