I have no personal experience with SportsMonitor. I do know however that many monitoring services are owned by the very services they monitor. When dealing with any such service please maintain a "buyer beware" attitude. btw. Most of our sport forums have threads entitled "Service Picks" especially during football season.

I operated a sports service MANY moons ago and was monitored by the SportsMonitor.

Not sure if you talking about the samething here.

They ran a fairly respectable monitoring service, but who really knows for sure.

Your best bet is follow a few folks over time here at the RX that gives you INTELLIGENT insight on why he or she is betting a game and make your OWN decision on wherther you should follow in their footstops.

Fish - Do you remember "The McKusker Report - Tipsters or Jipsters", written by Mike Mckusker when he lived in Vegas behind the Palace Station (Bingo Palace then)?

I sure do Wilheim.

Wow, that seems like a long long long time ago.

Guess it was.

That was one of the very first monitoring services ever I would presume.

Soon to be followed by AADSS, TheSportsMonitor, and the one operated by Jack Stewart.

I was just checking them out at sportsmonitor.com and it seems legit. Costly, but lrgit. I like how they post their picks regardless if they win or lose. They also seem to monitor alot of professional cappers. The only thing is though, I haven't heard of alot of the guys that they follow. It seems that Northcoast and Jim Feist are the biggest handicappers that they follow. But thoses guys suck, right? Anyway, they do follow a HAnicapper that I like named Steve Turner. He seems to do pretty well. Are there threads with people's predictions and analylsis on the message boards during baseball season?

In your opinion, who are the better baseball handicappers on this board?

yelham since the season is really not started (US anyway) I hate to mention names. Why, because I am not sure who will be posting plays this year. I would start visiting the baseball forum starting Monday and do your own monitoring. As the season wears on the better cappers will get more views day in and day out. You should have no trouble identifing the best. I look for intelligent write-ups and Cappers that keep their own accurate records. Don't be afraid to ask these very same questions with the baseball guys next week.

Good luck, wil.

I think Donn Wagner might be their best handicapper. He seems to be honest but expensive. d His newsletter is good and free.

Think different people are talking about different things.

THEsportsmonitor.com is the monitor that monitors the bigger names like Northcoast and Big Al.

SPORTSmonitor.com is a old consensus service that has alot of services that are dead, no longer around and make up alot. Overpriced and not worth the bandwidth they use.
