I wrote to HBO, & AP wire services still have not heard from them for verification. I then went to Jermainetaylor.com as desertdog did he was referred to this site by someone at Don Best.

I just got a 2nd email stating
fight was stopped late in the 7th round , with :44 seconds left in the round.

I did not see the fight - but I bet on the over under 6 1/2 rounds. The reason I am writing is with hope for someone to confirm whether it was over or under 6 1/2 can you help?
There are so many conflicting reports. The people who saw the fight seem to be saying it ended with 2:16 left in the round. The articles say 2:16 expired in the round before it was stopped. I bet 1k on the over and lost. I needed Over at OLY as well BIG. The sites you mentioned are NOT CORRECT. There is another thread about this here at RX today. Also one at Mad Jacks. The AP got the time wrong and sent it out to a bunch of unknowing news sites. Watched the fight and it ended roughly 40 some odd seconds INTO round 7. I would love to say it was an OVER, but truth is, it wasn't.

Definetly under, I watched it and had over, as well.

I had no $$$ interest in this fight. Regardless, I went back and checked the tape last night and the tapes don't lie. The fight was stopped with 2:16 REMAINING in the round. You can check with whoever you want but it's not going to matter. Anyone who actually saw this fight knows when it ended. I took the time to go back and check last night to make sure. You can doubt if you want but it's the truth.
