Fantasy baseball advice needed

I signed up for a fantasy baseball league with a buddy of mine. We are competing in head-to-head league with the following scoring categories...

Hits
Runs
Home Runs
Stolen Bases
Batting Average

and the Pitching categories consisting of

Wins
Saves
K's
ERA
WHIP

any advice would be appreciated as to how I should approach such a league.

Why is everyone so high on Crawford? He is on my waiver wire right now... I have 1b. Pujols, 2b. B. Boone ss. Furcal. 3b. Ensberg. OF. Preston Wilson, Andruw Jones, Ichiro and Util Juan Pierre. Mike Cameron and Mondesi on the bench should I go after Crawford?

depending on your leagues scoring system , crawford could put up some nice numbers and in a few catagory's. nice mid to late round pickup for sure.

draft all offense and closers! make sure you fill the infield you dont want to be sifting through the garbage with 2b, c and SS.

loading up on qaulity closers will keep your ERA down and give you a big edge in the saves cat.

loading up on offense will ensure you are consistently winning cats each and every week since you dont know what to expect from a SP wether he is pedro healthy or contreras with a bum shoulder.

you can always pick up pitchers as you go or you might be able to steal an ace in the later rounds. the beauty in this strategy is that ace RP's put up qaulity numbers and often do not get charged with ER's which helps keep that ERA down.

this strategy rocks you will conceed K's and the win cat probably, but you should dominate all other cats no problem if you do it right. just make sure your leauge doesnt have a rediculous minimum innings pitched requirement or you will have to look closer into getting SP aces.
