Looks like two Offshore giants, Pinnacle and Olympic, have a differance of opinion on the prop.

Pinnacle:

539 Over 99.5 wins -120
540 Under 99.5 wins +110

Olympic:

539 Over 99.5 -105
540 Under 99.5 -125

Looks to me like Pinny is saying go ahead bet the under, while Oly wants over action.

I had the total at 100.5 last month when I posted about it...

I can't see NY not winning 100 , what do you think Wil?

FWIW - I like the under for several reasons. The strongest being the competiveness that promises to be prevelant in the AL East this year. Baltimore, Toronto, and yes even Tampa Bay are all improved and will be tough teams to dominate as the Yankess have done recently (last 8 years). The natural Red Sox/Yanks rivalry will also be very heated. Add it all up and 100 wins is a lot for the Yankess to get to.

Good reason Wil...For sure I can see your reasoning...All the East team are improved...The Yanks seem to cruise to 100 wins though...I think they make it....Will be fun to look back and see...

I'm calling it early...

Jman - You may well be right, time will tell. Looking at their (Yanks) April schedule they have 7 games Vs. Boston, and Chicago, and 3 against Oakland. Thats 17 games that will definitely be hotly contested in April alone.

Over:

Pick up of Travis Lee is underated. Comeback of John Leiber is underrated. Only concern is Sheffield being banged up. Haven't heard the latest if he will miss time.

It looks like an Over to me. The NYY are loaded. Sheffield has pain in his thumb but is playing through it.

I think Minny Twins Under is an easier play, but is now at U85.5 -140.

While Milton had already been getting phased out as a Twin in previous years, Closer Everyday Eddie Guardado & his setup man Troy Hawkins will be missed, as will defensive game caller in AJP, and if the bottom-feeders of that mediocre division step up, combined with KC being a player..Twins may not hit mendoza?

NYY has pitching questions, a division team on their heels for dominance of all MLB, with a potent O's Offense, a Toronto that always plays the Yanks tough, and as Wil said, how can TB be any worse than last year w/full year under Lou?

I'm a Phils fan, but 92.5 could be hard to hit, if Burrell isn't back to self fully or staff isn't as hyped for '04, plus if Montreal keeps surprising, NYM decide to ball for a full year without tanking or dismatling in progress, along with still competitive Braves.

Houston or Cubs, if injury hits, or bats run cold(especially Houston) may find their division tough, as Cincy and St.Louis exceeding, could cost either, and what if the Brew Crew get off the mat(they play H-town tough!)?

Why is everyone saying Tampa Bay is going to be improved this year? Every team in the division has gotten better and will pound on them all season. The easiest O/U for me is Tampa Bay at 69.5. I am tempted to wager my entire bank roll on the under.

This club made some nice additions over the winter, from right fielder Jose Cruz Jr. to third baseman Geoff Blum. Lou Piniella's makeover continues. The Rays outfield of Rocco Baldelli, Carl Crawford and Cruz will very good. As they open their seventh season, the Devil Rays believe they have the most talent, the most depth, the most competition, and the fewest questions they have ever had. A busy offseason saw them add 13 players to the 40-man roster. They will be better this year.
