Usually when a team is on the road and playing in the morning and the spread is 6.5 - 7 you think twice about taking them.

The Mavs didn't play last night though and are in NJ shooting now.

Who is going to put the ball in the hoop for NJ with Kenyon and Kidd out?

I think canbet has the best Dallas side at 7 -107.

Nobody seems to have trouble scoring on the Mavs! Atlanta got 40 in the 1st quarter in Dallas and 120 or so for the game. That was the Atlanta team down to 6 players because of injuries and off a game the night before.

I have to agree Bill, this game could get ugly. The Nets are, IMO, one of the worst shooting teams in NBA history. Their entire success is predicated on getting to the hoop on the fast break and backdoor cuts. The Nets have no backup PG whatsoever, so W/O Kidd, the Nets are awful. W/O Kidd and Martin the Nets are attrocious. These two also happen to be the Nets top 2 defenders, so who's gonna stop Dallas from scoring at will? Finally, Kidd and Martin are also the teams top 2 REBOUNDERS believe it or not! Unless Dallas sleepwalks through this game, look for a 20 point blowout.

Nash Leads Mavericks Over Nets, 101-98

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) -- Steve Nash had 15 points and a season-high 16 assists and the Dallas Mavericks came up with two big defensive plays in the final 18.8 seconds to post a 101-98 win over the undermanned New Jersey Nets on Sunday.

Dirk Nowitzki blocked a shot underneath the basket by Nets center Jason Collins, seconds after hitting a fadeaway jumper that gave the Mavericks a 99-98 lead with 26.8 seconds left.

Nash, who had a big turnover in the final minute to keep the Nets' hopes afloat of an upset without Jason Kidd and Kenyon Martin, made the second defensive play with 5.4 seconds to go.

Guarding Lucious Harris in front of the Mavericks' bench with Dallas still up a point, Nash tipped the inbounds pass and Marquis Daniels picked it off.

Daniels threw the ball downcourt and Nash tracked it down and was fouled with a tenth of a second to go.

I was 7-0 yesterday but was very afraid of the pacers and when they got into town. Apparently it was misplaced fear. Nice job, wasnt even close.

I will be 5-2 today if the nugs un 2nd hlf comes in. I lost bad on the mavs-7 and the clips un 94.5 first hlf.

I'm kickin myself for the Mavs play. That was just a gut bet which ALWAYS lose. R Jefferson looks pretty damn good. Dirk is a big bitch. Walker gets traded by next season!
