How good is this baseball team?

Grade on a scale from 1 to 10.

This is in a 10 man fantasy baseball league. This is my team. Feel free to grade, comment, criticize or give ideas on how to make it better.

C - Jason Kendall
1B - Jim Thome, Todd Helton
2B - Jose Vidro
3B - Shea Hillenbrand, Morgan Ensberg
SS - Kazuo Matsui, Rafael Furcal
OF - Preston Wilson, Vlad Guerrero, Carlos Lee, Corey Patterson
UTIL - Mike Sweeney

SP - Barry Zito, Javier Vazquez, Greg Maddux, Matt Clement
RP - Keith Foulke, Joe Borowski, Robb Nen, Rocky Biddle, Jorge Julio

do you guys talk a lot in your leauge? we're at 300 posts and we havent even drafted. smack smack smack...looks very good, esp being a 10 team leauge, but i would trade vazquez for a better catcher or for a junior circuit pitcher that will garner better stats. javier has a carrer ERA over 4. this will climb having to pitch in the AL east. trade while he has a ton of value!

as far as my team, in fact i traded dontrelle for javier vazquez, i think vazquez rules and he should get plenty more wins with the cheaters......

as far as catchers there arent that many that are even worth it, thats a problem

I think Shea will be a good pick up for you, assuming you didnt over spend for him.

Robb Nen is risky unless you got him cheap. Shoulder problems may, or may not be behind him. A healthy Nen will close games for the Giants. Good luck.

They give me Jason Giambi, Kerry Wood and Rocco Baldelli, I send Foulke, Preston Wilson and Rafael Furcal...

What do you guys think?

Sounds like a good deal for you IF Giambi plays like Giambi...but I am thinking Giambi is going to struggle this year, just my opinion. Good Luck!

here's a couple of guys to keep in mind for back up- probably not drafted - victor martinez, rookie full time catcher for Clev. LeCroy veteran DH/C for Minny. your team looks pretty damn strong otherwise. though you do have an extra 1bman. why not trade Thome for a stud starting pitcher. try to get oswalt, willis, or carlos zambrano. those are pitchers that could have huge years but are not considered ace's this year. someone in your league needs Thome and you could pry a good pitcher for him
