I think Jerry Falwells school can win straight up.

Though I said St Joes would lose their first round game, I think they will EASILY take care of Liberty but will end up falling in the second round. ST Joes will not go very far but Liberty should be handled...

Rail, that comment was made with hyperbole, have you seen them? St. Joe's is overrated, but cmon. Liberty is not even in their class.

Green, Rail doesnt even know what conference Liberty plays in, let alone "seen them", he just likes to spike things up with outrageous claims that "incite the crowd"....

Slim, Rail is pretty sharp in his handicapping and while his opinions may be "inciting" he is someone who is never going to guarantee "locks" or BS about how good he is. He knows the game, I just asked his opinion, ok?

"Liberty University"---What a fine name for this narrow-minded religious fruitcake to have for his school.
Liberty for those that agree with him!

I strongly disagree with Mr. Falwell and his views, but will respect his right to believe in them.

I think St. Joe's uses Liberty as a punching bag to show the rest of the world they are a pretty good basketball team.

GreenDoberman--I agree with you about him. But what is truly amazing about his type and the Pat Robertson's of the world is the extreme large amounts of money they can rais for their causes. Without the religious right ---George W. is still in Texas!

Well having lived in the deep South for a short period of time, and dated a southern Baptist girl, I see how they get the money. But I do not at all agree with their views on most things.

This seems like a pretty low number for the matchup. everyone thinks St Joes has no chance, they will come out strong and probably not let up at the end...

I think they cover

Libert went to Tuscon and scored 91 against Arizona. Libertys last trip to Buffalo, site of tommorrows game they beat Canisus by 16.

. Coach K played his starters 40 minuntes and could not cover. Liberty was only down 10 with 12 min left in game. You people can hate Falwell all you want for speaking the truth, but just remember how Kansas had to squaek by as a 30 pt fav couple years ago. Here is part of summary below.

Liberty led 14-13 until J.J. Redick hit a 3-pointer at 10:36. That started a 7-0 run for the Blue Devils. But despite making just two field goals over the final 11 minutes, the Flames trailed only 27-20 at the half.

I do not post much on these sites but how in the world can these post continue to have such stupid non thoughtout statements. There is no way in hell that liberty can hang in this ball game.As for railbird I enjoy his comments but his attachment of his heart to his convictions will drive anyone who listens to the poor house.example this post and his never ending love affair with his boy Taylor Dent.

Your 6 inches short of the rubber guy.

Taylor Dent finshed 2003 with a 22-3 record counting the 4th round Agassi refund. If you ride Taylor this year you are up 5 units despite his bad back, including +2.5 units this week at Indian Wells. I will grant you I dont sweep the board every day.

I am 3-0 ats backing the Liberty Flames, 24 is way too many for a team that can shoot from the arch like this, that is well coahed and has a very high basketball iq. And yes I will be making a 0.25 unit play on a ML if I can find it.

Rail,
Nice call on Ga. Tech, I was gonna be all over UCOnn but thought the game started at 3, and missed it.

Why Liberty, they don't have much do they? Certainly a big step down from Pacific and Detroit.

Yeah, I just read up on Liberty, they have starters back and a top-notch recruiting class. I still think it's a major mismatch, but I'm going to lay off of it either way.

Green,

getting back to the Duke game, Coach K left Reddick and Duhon in up 30 with 2 min left, what a scumbag, still wasnt enough, Jerry Falwell runs a fine university and Liberty has a class basketball program.

Railbird I always read your post and I do get some good info.but you did say this liberty team will maybe win the game. That is what I am talking about that is just ridculous.
As for Taylor Dent I think those stats are bogus this guy is a flat out big time loser and you will see this year when he bellyaches in the coming months. In sports its call no marbles, and Taylor has none.
