I disagree, I can see Stanford, Duke, Ok. St. and either Pitt. or Miss. St. getting number ones depending on how they do in their conference tourneys.

wil is right. digger said it also. its all about that confrency tourney. there are definatly enough possible scenarios now to push st.joe's out of a 1. especially given how bad that loss to xavier was.

I missed the game today and didn`t see how bad they looked....I think they still get a #1...IF those 4 teams Wilheimer mentioned all win their tourneys then probably not...I think when the dust clears sunday they WILL get a #1 seed...

St. Joe may get a #1, but I highly doubt it. They got undressed in the worse way. They suffered the worst loss in NCAA history by a #1 team to an unranked team - 87-67. The score at one time was 74-37. The Musketeers ripped their interior defense shooting 71%, while wasting the Hawks on the boards 43-18. If they do get #1 it could set up a history making first time 1 - 16 match-up, where the 16 wins on the floor.

Its possible the mailed it in to get rested...

They will obviously go as far as their outside shooting takes them...

I remember another little team that could... led by Lowe, Whittenburg and Gannon`s outside shooting...they did have some inside game with Charles and Bailey, but it was the outside game that carried them all the way back in 1983.

They should not and will not get a number 1 seed...

Does anyone think they can beat DUKE for example?

I think they actually will go further in the tourney as a two seed. They will have less of the limelight on them and they will not have to face the dreaded 8-9 winner which would probably be a team from a major conference with a huge front court presence. Wil, if they do get a one seed there is no way they will lose. The least they would be favored by would 20 points against any 16 seed.

With Md all the way up to a #4 it has to be the strangest seedings I have ever seen...Arizona a 9? Very odd...And Kentucky out of freaking nowhere the #1 seeded team in the whole tourney!

I thought with Md winning today they may get a 6...It just goes to show what it meant to win the ACC Tourney and how the teams from the ACC this year were all regarded very highly...

St. Joes might have finished 7th in the ACC

IF Bobby can get by charlotte and St Joes wins, then Bobby has a real shot at the sweet 16 this year.
