This is way up on my list of greatest fan moments!!!!

This is huge around here....This conference tournament (ACC Basketball Tourney) is still very special....of all the Maryland teams lol, this one brings it home!

ps... I only wish I got to hear Duke Vitale call this one LMAO!

Duke pissed this game away, just like NC State did yesterday. We shouldnt even be having this conversation...

Wow. How about giving credit where credit is due. Maryland sucks?? You've got to be kidding or have just lost your ass on State yesterday and Duke today. Gilchrist was simply amazing!!

They have sucked for a good portion of the season yes....and they could lose in the first round, but they are The ACC Champs!

As a lifelong Terp I will take it and savior it...this of all Maryland teams winning it, the ACC Tourney is huge, and going to the state of North Carolina and beating Wake,State, and Duke in three days is miraculous from this group...Gilchrest was awesome and the whole team never gave up, they could have mailed in this whole season 2 weeks ago...Being a Terp fanatic my whole life this is a shade below the win over Indiana two years ago....mainly because of the way it was won! Sorry you had Duke or State Slimmy...

I gotta agree Jacksorbetter. Down by 12 with 3:30 left against Duke - that was one of the greatest comebacks ever, IMO. I do agree with Slim to some extent, though. Duke attempted to take the air out of the ball far too soon. And could someone please tell me WHY teams with the lead ALWAYS allow their opponents to come back by never contesting easy layups? Why not foul these guys, and force them to earn it, especially a team like Maryland who is last in the ACC in free throw Pct?

Good point MD. However to their credit Maryland knocked down 13 straight free throws starting the end or regulation, and throughout overtime, missing only their last FT with 3.2 seconds left. Go figure.

yup I noticed they won the ACC but lets be honest. They won the ACC because Duke gave the game away, with 5 minutes to go and up 10-12 they decided to sit on the damn ball. They missed like over 50% of their FT shots and thats only this game. Yesterday NC State called it a winner at halftime up almost 20. Thats the real reason why MD won the ACC.
