The young Terps got off the mat and saved their string of consecutive tourney appearances....And have somehow made it to the ACC Final today.... now its bad enough every year that WE have to play the tourney down in Greensboro NC (home state of UNC DUKE WAKE and State) and win 3 ROAD games to win the thing lol...

But today on TV here in Maryland on the call doing the color commentary MIKE GMINSKI!!!! WHAT!!! UGH!

Of all years for the Terps , this would be the most unlikely of Tourney Champs...Maryland has went down there with teams much better than this one almost every year...

Gminski was a great center for Duke in the late 70`s early 80`s....

Buc- I remember back in 1981, Maryland led by Albert King and Buck Williams ran into the Indiana Hoosiers in the NCAA...Maryland jumped out by 8-0 to start the game, ended up losing by 30 points! And this was a team many thought would win it all....So we owed the Hoosiers....1981 eventual champs btw!

Around here in the ACC where its the "North Carolina rules" we`re a little touchy about 'fairness'...try going down to Tobacco Road and winning 3 straight ,lol! I have seen this Maryland team lose more heartache games than any team in the country..

Since when did Maryland become a good free-throw shooting team?

They killed me against NC State...and they're making me nervous in the Duke game. They're 12-14 from the line. Meanwhile, Duke is 9-19!

It looks like the 2nd half gameplan was to take it strong to the hole for Duke...still proud of the Terps today...

Jman, if it makes you feel any better, they're gonna start moving the ACC tourney from city to city. Tampa, DC, Orlando, etc.

Can you imagine how pro-Maryland the crowd will be @ MCI Center? At least in Greensboro, the Carolina teams (Duke, UNC, NC State, Wake) kinda cancel each other out. For every Duke fan, there are probably 2-3 fans in the arena who HATE Duke.
