Question for Mods/RX (Royal Sports)

I ask sincerely why Royal is still being advertised as a top book?

The reason I ask is (besides the obvious reason) if you know about money coming in next week it could definately help a few sleep deprived people. I figure you know about current issues and are waiting them out but this place and Ken are not keeping there word(s) about what would happen after the past 3 or 4 stiff books.

Each time a book goes down there is talk of a new standard to be upheld.

Are we trying to avoid acknowledging this current slow pay problem?

I am told that it is nothing to worry about. The bigger players are gonna take it from the back first but will get paid.

I know there is a waiting list and players are afraid to speak up in fear of getting pushed to the back of the line.

So... No flaming, no name calling, no agenda.. Whats up?

General,
A player owed mid 5 figures has emailed you? Any input? The reason for slow paying this person is so nonbusiness like and ridiculous that I don't want to post it and get the player worse off.
If you would say there is not a probelm w/ Royal then maybe you can help.

I have complaints that I am looking at. I have my optimism. I have my concerns. We have issues at hand. I am trying to seek answers as we speak on the issue you refer to.

It appears that you think the Rx has a responsibility to its posters and people that view the site to ensure that its advertisers pay. Why?

Does the Rx purport to be anything but "The Pulse of Offshore Betting?" If the Rx has ever had a business model where it was a "watchdog" it is clear during a few of the failures and slow plays that they are now JUST a site with information and forums.

Any insight regarding the quality of books comes from other posters and mods.

The Mods offer a great service (for which they may or may not get paid) where they use their connections and employment by a. often frequented influential website to moderate disputes and get people paid.

It seems to me that the Rx has NO responsibility to the players and they help to enhance the reputation of the site for helping players.

Other than that, they provide a ripe enviroment for advertisers to acquire new players and they take the checks to the bank for that service. They know what hand feeds them so you will always see a slant toward the advertisers. Accept it.

I know that The GENERAL mainly and the other mods also go ABOVE and BEYOND the call of duty to try to get ANYONE that emails him a problem to get paid whether it be at a book like Betonsports
or a sponsor book he tries just the same... I mean General posted yesterday that the ENTIRE COUNTRY OF PANAMA may be mad at him for sending all the emails so people can keep pressure on Betpan am to pay.

He has no funds there at BetPA but he FEELS STRONGLY as the other mods do that they need to try to help everyone with his who has been stiffed and is comfortable trying to do it.

That is not to shabby huh???

Because the standards of what forums provide players are going UP. Other sites are securing funds deposited by players. Why take the risk. Forums as you point out are great for information, but I think a lot of us are starting to want more and are getting it.

By the way, I am not knocking what the mods do around here. They do a great job and do go way beyond what is necessary.

OK guys,

I don't want to turn this thread into an ethical debate. My intention was to get answers. Surely an advertiser has an obligation to tell its sponsors what is up and that is where I was going.

Right now I really don't care about flaming TheRX for putting Royal up or not making good on past promises. I'd like to see some people get paid and...

Right now there is a huge pot hole in the road. I would just like to help make sure that the orange cones and caution signs are visible. I would prefer the road is closed down but I'm just the guy holding a cone.

FWIW - The mods here at The Rx. can only help people get paid when they contact us. I know General has helped several at Royal get paid ( plus many more at other books). I have been able to help also. Royal is very cooperative when we do ask for any kind of investigation into specific cases. I would urge any poster/lurker to come forward with an EM to one of the mods and explain their situation.

Why is Royal still being advertised as a top book? All I can say is from my experience and what I know from other mods experiences, is that Royal continues to pay in all the cases we have been involved in. Their financial situation is not something we (mods) have any access to. Until we get people saying they cannot get paid by Royal at all, and then ask us to help, which we do, but get no results, I have no reason to recommend the banner be taken down. Please remember no mod can get a banners removed, that is a management function, all we can do is recommend. I assume Bill Dozer knows of players not getting paid by Royal, until they ask us for help there is nothing we can do.

As far as the mods role...

When my cable goes out its not the lady who answers the phones fault but she is the one that gets to hear it. Thats why she is there.

If you guys have no control over where this place sends its visitors lets forget about it and keep the important threads up top for others to see. Thanks for helping.

I want more as well but what I was really trying to point out is that the Rx has no responsibility to players and when it comes to its advertisers, especially Royal, there is a tendency to be VERY careful of what is said and done, IMO.

When i read this thread i thought that i might have been the one paid 2,500 by Royal but it turns out it wasn't me. I have been waiting now for almost 2 weeks and this isn't the first time.

BillDozer and the General has helped me getting paid the 2500. (The money Bill talks about...) I have waited for that money for a least a week and there was absolutley no progress until they helped me out. I suggest that you email them "Neverstop". I have more funds in my Royal account and if it is going to take more that a week to get 2500 it will take forever for me to get paid. I trust that they have the money they are just weird about it for some reason.

Sheva- I know the feeling. I am trying to be patient. They have been paying me a little at a time. I was up around the 20K mark and now i have about 5K including futures.
