Why is it necessary to make this thread when there is already a permanent link to the same page in the main banner section!? With this and that stupid 50% bonus thread by Bet365 (the top listing on the bonus page -- coincidence !?

Where I am coming from:
This site is very nicely divided into categories:
There is the home page, and from there we can reach the following with one easy click:
- free picks
- chatroom
- bonuses & perks
- reviews
- forums
- livelines
- poker
An even more wonderful thing is that if we decide to go to the forum, the other links are still available so we don't have to go to the homepage to get to the other stuff.
The sportsbook ads (which are fully understandable and easily tolerated) and the other links (which are convenient) are there day in, day out taking up space whether we want it or not. So far so good, since one of these is necessary to pay the bills while the other is a convenience and therefore nice to have.
But to have space taken up in the body of the forums for the same purpose is duplication of effort at best, going overboard with promoting advertisers at an average level, and spamming at worst.
In any case I don't see the need for it unless one or more of the advertisers is pushing for it. I'm not sure what your exact rules are for threads whose purpose is to sell the services of an advertiser, but up until now it seems as though it was limited to cases when the advertiser was offering something special and substantial to the players and using the forum to tell us about it. Now I see two in a row that offer effectively nothing extra and are just taking up forum space as glorified ads.

I posted in an effort to show rx posters a part of the site in which they may not be aware. The info is there. I am trying to share what The Rx has to offer. Maybe you know of, but most do not look past the forum itself. As one, suggested a beginner(newbie) sees what is available to them, they can make even a wiser decision as to the sportsbook of their choosing.
My helping of direction to them in finding this resource is in no way harming/disturbing anything. It is using a bit of cyber space in which I have seen no shortage of recently.

OK General, I have no reason not to believe you if those were your true intentions, but you have to admit it's quite a coincidence to see 2 promotional threads from Bet365 plus this one being launched around the same time with Bet365 being at the top of the list in the bonus section. I normally bet against coincidences but of course I don't win all my bets
There arent to many people that come to the defense of the player like The General has done in the past. I think its pretty unfair to get on him for posting info that may be useful to the player.I hardly think hes spamming for the books that advertise at the RX. Hes a good man and has helped me out in the past and I appreciate and am grateful for it.Thanks again General.
I know the General is a good man and he has helped me several times in the past as well, but I'm not going to go all partisan and agree with everything he does just because of that. That's what slimy politicians do. This forum is all about speaking out for what we believe in and there is hardly anything more on-topic than the debate between shilling and pure, innocent information. If anything, I think more people should chime in with their opinions on this.
