I have a question and this is 100% serious.

September 11....and 7/11 are virtually the same thing as far as numbers go (sept=7) and a lot of middle eastern people own these stores ,is that a coincidence or not at all.

May be someone sued them on the grounds that excessive amounts of coke caused stomach cancer and they had to pay him/her 20 million dollars?

I remember with nostalgia the times when the "big mac" came in the red box and it barely fit in my father's hand.....that was in 1980, now I can probably hold 3 and the quality is not the same

where is the BIG Mac !

any marketing step they take can not possibly be worse than the "I'm lov'n it" campaign which targets the poor.

This will cause more automobile accidents. It was ok carrying one BIG coke, but how is a driver supposed to steer and hold 2 large cokes

OAK BROOK, Ill., March 3 (UPI) -- McDonald's says it will phase out super-size items at its more than 13,600 restaurants in the United States by the end of the year.

The world's largest fast-food chain has been criticized for offering the giant-sized portions of French fries and sugared drinks by nutritionists who say the company based in Oak Brook, Ill., promotes an unhealthy diet.

With nearly 40 percent of Americans now considered overweight, McDonald's will keep the usual Big Mac sandwiches, hamburgers and fries but will offer consumers healthier fare on a simpler menu featuring more salads, yogurt and sliced fruit, and an adult version of a Happy Meal with water and fruit.

McDonald's will still sell large fries and offer super-size drinks as special promotions.

"This has as much to do with operations as it does with emphasizing a balanced diet," a company spokesman told the Chicago Tribune.

BIG MAC ATTACK: McDonald's braces for fallout from film linking its burgers and fries to obesity, high cholesterol and more
BY DELROY ALEXANDER
CHICAGO TRIBUNE
March 01, 2004

The red-haired clown with a larger-than-life smile has welcomed generations of children to McDonald's. But the bloated mug of a filmmaker soon could scare away health-conscious adults.

In the new documentary "Super Size Me," filmmaker Morgan Spurlock eats only McDonald's food for 30 days and
documents his rapidly deteriorating health. nterspersed with segments about obesity and processed food in the United States, viewers watch Spurlock pack on 25 pounds, ride out wild mood swings and get warnings from doctors about his rising cholesterol levels and liver toxicity. The movie will be released to theaters by the end of May.

The 90-minute movie could cause more people to bring obesity lawsuits against McDonald's Corp., predicts John Banzhaf, a professor at George Washington University Law School. The consultant in lawsuits against McDonald's appears in the documentary and was instrumental in building a case against the tobacco industry.

I am so sick and tired of these obese fat bastards suing because they cant push their fat asses away from the table. Same as with these idiots who have someone in their family die of cancer due to smoking and then feel the need to sue the tobacco companies.
EVERYONE knows this stuff is shit and bad for you.

we should all sue mcdonalds and the tabacoo companys. why be reponsible? why make sensible choices? if this stuff is bad for us, let us make the mistake of ingesting it and then get paid for it.

im not with all that make healthy choices nonsense. these companys are huge. if youre going to be a mega millionare off of everyones making bad choices then pay me. even the people that dont eat there. they should pay them also, just for tempting them.

sueing a major corperation should be easier than pokey reeses arbitration.
