Great traits to have, if like you say, one can avoid the chasing.
NOBODY should ever accept losing or say they just bet "for fun".
If that were true, I recommend they find another hobby.
99% of the people that say they just bet "for fun"..... are not being truthful with themselves.

fishhead, it has to do to a large degree with addiction & brain chemistry, gambling is very similar to using drugs, in fact studies have shown it has more similarities to cocaine than any other. Some of you may laugh but gambling actually changes the chemistry in your brain...The euphoric feeling that you may have after a big win is the direct result of Serotonin neurotransmitters being released at a greater rate than they normally would be. Seretonin is a drug in your brain which is responsible for your moods. Taking Extasy also releases Seretonin in your brain. anyway I am rambling...but beleive me when I say it has alot to do with brain chemistry, addiction, etc.
