I Was thinking about this last night.

Is it the addiction to posting something and seeing what others will say and how others will react to it?

Is it the online "Camaraderie" that you get from posting with others that you like at specific sites?

Is it just pure wanting to know information on the industry you love (sports and gaming)?

Is it a combination of all of the above?

I think its a combination of ALL of the above.

Would appreciate your comments.

thanks in advance

I guess it's the same reason I keep coming back to Landers wife, it's fun and it's good.

I think the reason we all keep coming back to this forum(s) is simply because that it's difficult to find people in most of our everyday lives that are knowledgeable in not only sports~betting, but just sports in general. I believe it's safe to say that the majority of us here are sports~smart, whether it be one specific sport, or many.......

mainly to discuss gambling with other people who:

1) have more knowledge than me
2) are just as interested as me

because anyone else I talk to chastizes me for betting...they all say it's impossible to win and I'll lose all my money even though I have been winning.

The amount of fantastic individuals here that are sharp, RESPECTFUL, proven experts or legendary figures in this industry are in abundance here at the RX more so than basically all the other forums combined.

The posters here at THE RX are trully amazing.!!!

I look forward to coming here everyday as I know their is something great to look forward to every single day.

WE ALL should be thankful for this forum in one way or another.

Thanks SHRINKWRAP for getting this whole thing rolling!

I agree with Blue and Bryan.

Here's the main two reasons I've stayed plugged in with sports capping forums over past five years.

1) I am a modest level player, so I don't always have funds to use. I don't post anything unless I have actual dollars on it, even if it's just $5-10. Thus, I go thru periods of several weeks where I might not play at all. It's nice to have gotten used to how these forums work, because then I can watch regular players while looking for 1 of 2 things.

A great guy to tail or a great guy to fade.

2) When I am playing, and posting my plays, the act of posting keeps me more honest and careful about what I play.

I am a very busy player when I'm in the game. I can take a full card of 15 NHL and/or 13 NBA games and come up with 10-20 plays I like once Sides and Totals, and Halftimes are considered.

Posting my plays makes me be more careful, since I enjoy doing well.

I've learned over 5 years that when I do play AND when I do the work needed to properly cap a full schedule (about ten minutes per game...so that's 2 1/2 hours just for one sport some days) I'm actually pretty good at it.

So posting makes me be more deliberate about amounts wagered. Posting means not only do I have money in play, I also have my cyber ego in play. Oh, btw, this method only works if you have a single persona in the forums. I've used just two IDs in five years...this one and also HolyCow over at EE site.

If you've got a dozen ghost IDs, you'll never be helped by this aspect of using the forums.

Barman - Interesting and informative post. I think I understand what you mean about a cyber-ego. Iv'e found my self with 2 or 3 bets going at once, but only 1 being posted here at The Rx. That bet is always the one I root the hardest for. Go figure.

Thanks, wil.

"Camaraderie"

for a lot of us, the rx is the easiest place to find so many people with the same interests.

This is my last post. This question just made me understand that I post for no fvcking reason.. I already have all the answers.. I already know more about any gambling or sports topic then anyone in here.. I get bored and I waste time posting on here when I could be petting my dog or screwing lander wife before dickyw gets there... I'm done, cashed out, outa here!

later nit-wits its been a shitty 4 years!
