Its starting to all make sense here, first we see the Florida Marlins on the White House lawn listening attentively to President George Bush lay down the law about drugs in sports...

A month later we have the biggest names in baseball being linked to a federal indictment, a week later we have one of the biggest names in football in similar hot water four years after the fact...you can bet Ashcroft had to give the final word in both incidents...

I am beginning to believe the Republican Guard err Party, is pulling out all stops before they are back on the outside looking in come November....afterall we have found NO Weapons of Mass destruction, we have freaking $2.00+ gas prices and we have our soldiers dying almost everyday over there in Iraq....Besides the way Bush handled the 9/11 tragedy , he hasn`t done much else right.....
I don`t think this is a coincidence, the timing of the announcement and these indictments....

I`d rather see the wet cigar smokin Bill Clinton back...

So Jamal Lewis was busted in order to improve Bush's chances in the election?

Dunno, not sure if I buy that conspiracy.

I don't see your point at all. $2.00 gas prices have nothing to do with Bush. You've been watching too much of Alan Combes.

This is not tne proper venue for trashing Republicans in general and the President of the United States specifically. You already know that, of course, since you work here!

I for one am just about sick and tired of your whining about your star running back
setting himself up
for a nice long federal
vacation. Jamaaaal needs to be accountable for his actions and accept the consequences.

If you want to be angry at someone, try focusing your anger on the only one truly deserving of same, the person who did the crime. People who blame everybody else for there problems never get over their problems.

p.s. Please move this to the political forum, where it should have been in the first place.

Please don`t shout this early in the AM...

I am not even suggesting Lewis is innocent, sorry if it appears thay way....But the timing of these two politically driven indictments is eye opening in light of what Bush said last month....You will see sir in the end that I am on the right path with this, who do you think gave the final word to go after them...Ashcroft....

Bush is in trouble, and he knows it....

As for what Lewis did (which I believe he was up to no good) well he deserves what ever happens, I have no sympathy for anyone that damn dumb....

I am talking about THE TIMING OF THESE TWO INDICTMENTS VINI! politically motivated

If this case did not involve the Baltimore Ravens you would not have one word to say about it. That said, anybody who has been around the block a time or two knows that anything a politician does is potentially politically motivated.

Also, as to the case itself, take note of the fact that there have already been 30 arrests (convictions?) over the last four years. Apparently this investigation began when Democrat Janet Reno (Hillary's gal-pal) was still in office.

Looks like you're going to have to vote for Ralph Nader as he's the only cantidate not hell-bent on busting up the Baltimore Ravens.

p.s. I think if you check your calendar you will find that Ms. Reno was also in office when your star linebacker ratted out his friends to save his own ass.
