Amazing thing about the Del Rey is that so many tour guides write about it as if it was just a normal option in the hotel circuit. They just say things like "lively bar downstairs". Imagine if you had kids and you figure just stay out of the bar and casino, no big deal. Then you walk into the lobby or the casino side with your family on your way to the room at 11pm after a long day trip and that "scenery" that greets you!
