Anyone want to go to Panama?

I checked and its not expensive to fly out.
Only about 700 bucks. I'm owed nearly 10k. Maybe if we went in person, we'd get some of our money or maybe all of it?? I'd be willing to go if some others here are willing to go. Anyone interested in going? We could meet up in Panama City on a certain date and location and then go over to BetPanAm and demand our money. Anyone intersted? I'm serious.

Good luck. Most books in their situation won't be sitting in their offices with open doors. First you have to find them, they get them to let you in, then get them to pay you. I mean yeah you wish you could do more about it, but I think your chances of success are between slim and none. Your best meeting out of the whole thing probably would be to go meet with this Lizzi, having real people there meeting with her might get her to work a bit more urgently...but still no guarantees it will improve things much more than phone calls will.

Finding the actual office would not be much of a problem. Getting in might be. First you would have to deal with building security which in most Central American countries means machine guns or at least shotguns. Natrually if BetPanAm gives you permission to enter then the security would let you pass. Once inside perhaps some sort of deal can be made. I would try to make some sort of prearranged meeting date with BPAM. Why should'nt they meet with, and discuss their intentions with visiting clintele?

You guys got this all wrong. Somebody must have these clowns real names? Run the names with a good PI then search for them or family members, then shake the tree and I bet a few $ would fall off. With all due respect, you can't go in like John Wayne down there and expect to get away with it for long. Panamanians are fiercely nationalistic and hate even the appearance of doing anything at any American's request. Yes many of them speak English and they use the US Dollar there, but they will never do something just because you request it. This happens when a country is pretty much created and run for almost 100 years at the behest of the US. IMO, the only way you will get Lizzi or any other Panamanian to assist you is to go out of your way to be extremely respectful and businesslike. The second you walk in and give them the attitude of "do this for me because it is my money" or anything like that you better be prepared to have everything take twice as long with half the results.
