Last Saturday, I opened an account with sportsbook which is run by Sportingbet. I sent them 200 via Western Union and started to get hot right away.( beginer luck?). By Sunday, I had close to 2,000 in my account which was a lot for a guy who is going to nightschool. Then, I asked for a withdraw of 800 dollars and was told that all of my bets are being audited. They dont see how someone starting with 200 and unloaded almost 1K on the Hawks +12.5. At the same time, they want for me to identify myself by sending in my ID even though I was a cash player. I have sent them my DL and utility bill with my name on them hopefully they would release my fund. What did I do wrong here? Is this how they stall a hot player? This is really sad since this is the first time I won that much.

There are some books that like to stall withdrawals by asking for DL and bills with addresses on them. I personally think it's all bogus, but from personal experience, I ended up getting all that money in the end. At least after you have done it once, then you don't have to do it again.

Grind, are you a cash player? I dont think it is right for them to ask for your ID's unless you are using cc. Anyway, I just hope they pay me at least my money I sent them which I borrowed from my friend. This is really sucks picking the wrong book to play with.

I have gotten ID'd when I was a cash player, but you have to just take it as a one-time annoyance...you most likely won't have to hassle with it again when you make your full withdrawal. I am pretty sure that the higher end books do not ID you for cash deposits (cause that would piss off all of the sharpies).

it is really sucks since I really liked the Cleveland tonight. Honestly, I dont see why they would do that since some of us might not want to reveal our identities when come to gamlbing. That was why I sent cash in the first place.

I would really like for Sportingbet/sportsbook respond to this thread. I just got off the phone with a clerk and was told that they might not honor my winning bets once the account was being audited but noone told me about it until I asked for a withdrawal. That they took all my bets without any problems. I wished I can show everyone my bets but they locked my account. I unloaded on the Hawks +12.5 and they wanted to know why I took them like I knew and could have controlled the game.

I know it is short time but I was told it might take up to 72 hours for them to get back with me and I have to pay up my buddy the 200 I sent them. It also bothers me that they questioned my bets which were all single bets and the spreads are almost identical with the newspapers.

as for you top dog...it is my beleif that it is people like you who ruin it for the true people who are having difficulty with books...so many complaints lead the board to look at all complaints with much skepticism...I would advise that you think twice before bashing that you havent had a payment on Monday when you just opened the account on Saturday...ridiculous...

Savant, tell me what did I do wrong to ruin anyone? I gave them cash and expected to get paid when I won. How would you like for someone to stall you when you are on a roll. Also, would that be stupid for me to open an account with the same book after they did not pay me if you think I am the same person in the other post? Dont forget there are other books out there and I made mistake to choose the wrong one.

Wil, I dont know if you are a moderator here or just someone who works for the books. I know sometimes books would pay for someone like you to bash players like us. I have sent several messages to sportingbet asking for them to respond to my post. Why dont you do the same instead of shooting down others?
