I like to see new posters here at the Rx. as much as anyone. However, there are a few first time posts that leave much to be desired.

The following are examples of what I mean:

1. Contain a "Lock" cannot possibly lose game of the year.

2. Deliberately and viciously flame an old-time poster or moderator.

3. Claim to be an expert in the field of offshore gambling, and say they knew for months that one sportsbook or another was going bad.

4. Open with a long post in phoney broken English.

5. And of course the worst is when that first post hints of a bad slow pay problem at a major book, but no names can be mentioned yet.

great post Wil, But this has been going on for YEARS here...There is nothing that can be done....

I have noticed when someone wants to attack someone ,mostly they roll in with a new name..afraid to use there real name. Not sure what to make of that but I doubt anyone will stop doing those 5 things you posted but you hit the nail on the head

i think all are guests here and under most cases unless there are threats involved a new poster is a good sign. My first post here was a disaster but I was new and did not know anyone and did not know the history or true value in this place.

First time posters bring them in.

I am in full agreement....at least give us the dignity of an introduction....

I can understand # 5 however to a small degree....I never found the RX until I had a problem such as discussed in # 5...so one of my first posts here was complaining about a slow play...but I beleive I did it with full integrity, without bashing & never asked for help as I was confident I could resolve it myself, I simply asked for advise...needless to say, I did resolve it but stayed at the RX as I enjoyed the company...& the info...

Wil.. fully agree with you. If a poster here has a problem with a book and they know without a shadow of a doubt that they did nothing wrong then why create a new screen name. If you have nothing to hide they post under your REAL handle. Seems simple enough...Damn I know of one guy here that has 4 handles and 3 were created to complain about a couple of books.

Who cares what name it's under? This is an open forum isn't it? What I don't like is that this issue comes up every time an unpopular position is posted here.

Hanover, you are correct it is an open forum and posters can use any handle they please, and post anything they please, about any subject they please. I simply stated some of the first time posts I do not like to see, solely a imho post. There is always an unpopular position somewhere on this board, if you think the current Royal issue is the reason for my post, then I have to say you are mistaken. Like you said its an open forum.

Hanover are you insinuating that beacause I am a mod here my opinion is worth less than yours, or in some way biased because I happen to moderate?

No, quite the opposite, I'm insinuating that you're opinion is worth more because you are a mod. That is, your opinion is read with more interest and viewed as "official".

I also think you should lighten up and that this is a bullshit thread. Find somoene else to carry on with as I won't be back on for several days.

Hanover, in that case "officially" speaking; your opinion is noted, and I hope you do have a most pleasant trip. FWIW. I can see your point about the thread, it was intended to be taken with tongue in cheek to begin with. I quess I should have put a

at the bottom.
