Yeah MrJ, McIrish and I both thought about creating a thread about this, but only a handful of us here know of Chris. Man, although I like Ian Beckles, those 10:00 handicapping shows starting next football season just wont be the same........

I'm sure Chris was known in more parts of the country than just down here. The Baltimore area around Pimlico and a whole bunch of other tracks for sure.

Damn it man. I'm not just going to miss him but Clevis, Frebis, Old Yellow Dog, Waggin The Wood, I'm Gay, The Chickens, The Cows and the list goes on and on and on... [just a few of his humorous sound bites and characters].

Tell you one thing if you lived down here and you didn't listen, if you could, to the 5 Star Handicrapping Show on Friday mornings in the Fall...well, then you probably weren't a sports gambler.

Yeah , I thought it had to be the same guy...very sad news....Thomas was by FAR, the best local guy we have EVER had here...
He was here back in the glory years of the Orioles (a much greater time in Balto. sports than present day) and he was the guy locally , everyone loved him here, that I do know..

He use to work with my grandfather in the press box at the old Balto Blast (soccer) games (the Blast was a pop culture phenomenon in Balto.) back in the 80`s.....very sad...

I presume he passed from cancer? Can anyone link an article? Man I`m depressed....

Yeah for sure General. He is in a better place and he was a Christian. It is that thought which kept me going after the loss of my son and caused me to make many positive changes in my lifestyle so that I would be able to see him again.
