If your going out of town and you have cable modem at home but now ISP like MSN or AOL...How can you connect your laptop to the Hotel's net service that they have in the room >

thanks in advance for any info

All you need is an ethernet port on your laptop. If you dont have one built in, you can buy a pcmcia ethernet card for around 50-75 bucks.

Brew....I have that but do you not have to have some kind of ISP that you have to dial into ?? or do you just use the one the hotel has in the room??? not sure how it works...thanks

Depending on where you are staying, most hotels have high speed internet access in your hotel room.

All you do is turn off your laptop, plug in from the wall to your ethernet port and turn on your computer. Open up Interet Explorer (Netcape as well) and you will be prompted with a message advising you of the charges and if you accept them. Usually you are billed in either 12 or 24 hour increments ranging from $5.95 a day to $12.99 a day, depending on the hotel and where you are staying.
