#1 seeds

Stanford will lose at least one game but enough to get a #1 seed
St' Joes
Gonzaga easy schedule, conf. tournament included....shouldnt lose
Oklahoma State good schedule, only tough games are at mizzou and home vs texas....they'll win both and got a good shot at winning the conf. tournament too

#2

Duke I think they lose at least one more
Mississippi State have some tough games coming up and they'll drop one
Pitts will lose @ providence and who knows whats gonna happen @WVU
Uconn piece of cake schedule...@villanova toughest game....haha

Let's see how close i am!

St Joes
Duke
Stanford
OK St.

simply because, stanford and st joes may run table, Ok St and Duke win their conference tourneys, whild miss st loses their's to Kent. both Kent and Miss St. then get #2 seeds..

blue,

No, when it comes to seedings, tournament looks at last 10 games and conference tournament. Louisville seems to be sliding as opposed to peaking. Not to many top seeds lose on road by 27 to mediocre TCU team and the worst part about it was that it was nationally telivised. Right now Louisville is a 5 or 6. Cinci might crack a top 4 seed due to conference tournament, I believe is in Cinci's home court. Gl

Kojak: Are you from Tennessee or a Memphis State alum? Agree with most of the 16 teams you named, but not necessarily in the same order, but I think Memphis is a No.4 seed at best. They still have to play at Louisville and Cincinnati. Of course if they win both a No. 2 seed wouldn't be out of the question.

Based on performance and history of the selection committee -

Duke in East
Ok St in Mid West
Kentucky in SE
Stanford in West

Whether we like it or not, the selection committee will continue to lick Coach K's butt regardless if they deserve a #1 seed. They also will always take an above average Kentucky, Ok St, Miss St or Texas over Saint Joe's, Gonzaga or any other team that does not draw away from home every day of the week and twice on Sundays.

I disagree with how they do it (Gonzaga's seed LY was a farce) but their bottom line is Ratings, which equals $$ to CBS.

Mr. Misantherope,

No I am a Purdue alumni. I just think that Louis and Cinci are fading and Memphis is peaking. Also, Conference USA is underrated and equal to some of the power conferences this year. If St. Joe's loses, they will lose #1 but are no worse than #2. I am assuming that Memphis will win both. Best of luck.

stoli,

No way Kentucky get a #1, at best #2. St. Joe's,Okie St, Gonzaga would have to win out to keep seedings I project. Okie St. will not win both conference and conference tournament. You can count on that in Big 12.gl

I am in no way a Kentucky/Tubby Smith fan nor do I think they deserve a # 1 seed (though there is alot of ball to be played).

However, the top 2-3 seeds in each bracket every year have more to do with drawing big crowds and big ratings rather than actual on-court performance.(i.e. Kentucky, Duke though they are damn good every year).

That's why North Carolina, Connecticut, Florida, Louisville, Arizona etc... will get higher seeds than they deserve and the St. Joes, Gonzagas, Western Michigans and Utah States of the world continue to get sh*t on by the grand committee. Just IMO.

It's unfortunate that the committee is constantly blinded by ratings and $$. GL also.

Rpi has Kentucky at #3. What a crock? I think Kentucky would have to win SEC tournament to get #1 imo.
