There have been a lot of reports that Allen Iverson will be traded before Thursday. To me it doesn't make a lot of sense with East as weak as it is. Has anyone heard anything to confirm or possible trade possibilities?

It would be the biggest mistake in the history of the 76'ers IMO

Iverson for Kobe might make some sense as both teams get some value. Iverson gets to play with a quality big man in Shaq and Kobe gets to try to win a championship on his own. Only problem is Kobe's problems in Denver otherwise would make some sense with salary structures and Kobe being from PHilly.

They should just fire another coach and name AI the coach. Let the inmates run the asylum, they aren't going anywhere anyway.

I hate this game the NBA has become.

where has every one been hearing these reports?

I'm from Philly and while I don't listen to sports radio all day, haven't heard anything to serious

I really doubt Iverson will be traded...and for Kobe?...the city hates that guy

I heard the Pistons had offered Billups, Atkins, Williamson and a draft pick for Iverson. They almost traded for him a couple of years ago, but the deal fell through because of salary cap restrictions.

AI missed practice yesterday, and Cris Ford is not thrilled, what else is new. He is not going anywhere imo.

scorpion my friend, Im not sure I would trade Iverson straight up for Kobe, much less give any extra picks for him. Ive said it many times and I stand by it.......Although Kobe is a great player, he will be exposed a bit without Shaq to bail him out.....What other star guards have the luxury of having the most dominant center in NBA history drawing double and triple teams night after night, opening up the floor for his teammates.....

Hache, I am a Spurs fan and would like to agree with you but you are dead wrong - when Shaq was out last year Kobe was putting up 40 like every night - he single handidly beat the Spurs for their 3 rings (as Shaq averages 19 points in the playoffs versus SA) - and he is the only player in the league that Bowen cannot shut down.

Seymour, believe it or not, when I was typing that I knew that someone would bring up those Big games that Kobe had when Shaq was out. No offense, but this is always Kobe~lovers' defense.(which I know your not) I already admitted that Kobe is a great player, but he cant have big games like the ones you just mentioned all of the time, especially without Shaq. Shaq draws double and triple teams EVERY SINGLE GAME, and that easily opens the floor for Kobe. Can you imagine If Iverson or Mcgrady had that luxury?

Years ago Penny Hardaway had 3 straight 40 point games in the playoffs If I remember right.......see where Im going with this?

If you ask me the league has alot of really great players right now but if you don't have Shaq, Duncan or Kobe you ain't winning a trophy.

Kobe would be welcomed here with open arms. he did lead a team comprised of himself and four little jewish HS kids to two state championships.

Iverson is the best blood and guts player in the NBA in maybe a generation. Plus, he is the best little man probably since Tiny. He and 4 NAIA players made it to the finals three yrs ago, it is ridiculous to think that if he didn't have real talent around him they couldn't win a title.

I take Duncan over Shaq any day. Shaq is nothing if he doesnt have a great player taking all the big shots when the game is on the line. When was the last time this dumbass made a game winning basket? This guy is an empty uniform in close games late in the game. WORTHLESS!

Every time the game is on the line that rapist has to take the last shot.

If the lakers want to save their organization they have to fire the most overrated coach in the history of the professional history and trade shaq!
