I've read past posts here that have hinted neteller would give out private info of their clients to book owners. Is this documented to be true, anyone have experience? If the owner of Olympic pressured neteller would they give in?

I've read a story where NETeller has done this and denied it. Essentially, the book had beef with a player and the book used the fact that the player conducted transactions with a different book and a conspiring player as evidence of impropriety. The player alleged that the ONLY way for the book to get said information was through NETeller since it is the only place that would have knowledge of his relationship with the other player.

He contacted a lawyer and planned to sue NETeller for violating its terms of service.

I do not know whether or not the story is true and NETeller never came into the post to defend itself (smart move).

Let's put it this way: I would not make a member to member transfer at NeTeller (i.e. player to player) if you did not want a book to know it!

When you use Neteller, a book can get the information that you give to Neteller. ie. Address, City, State, Country, Zip, phone, email and your IP address.

you guys are paranoid IMO.. I do not think that happens, Plus a book can find out all about you anyway if they tried hard enough, they do not need neteller to give them the info

You can tell Neteller that you don't want any of your private information shared with any of their merchants and they will block that information from appearing in your account details.

FYI, Neteller often shares player information with their Merchant accounts.

I agree. I think if you are a straight player (use your real name, address, etc.), NETeller has very little information that your books and poker rooms do not already have (other than a bank account number).

I think where I would be uncomfortable is if NT started sharing my deposit and withdrawal information with the books/room. The information is not very valuable but I would prefer if they didn't do it.

Member to member transfers are a dumb idea. If the other member gets audited - you get audited. i.e. explain this neteller transfer ???? income, etc.

I don't know if it's commonplace, but it definitely has happened on occasion in the past.

The Sick Gambler "mock trial" is one example. Certain details from several Neteller accounts that he controlled were shared with Rio.

The world would be a whole lot better if everyone

So you are saying that Rio colluded with Sick Gambler? Give me a break. Not in this lifetime.

My sons and myself have had accounts with Neteller for approximately two years.
All three of us have moved money from one account to another on a regular basis.
Never a problem.
Also, I do NOT believe that Neteller gives out player info under any circumstances!

Better read my statement again.

Neteller released account details to Rio, to help Rio prove their case against Sick Gambler.
