Thanks for a great contest. I called, as you suggested to speak with Mike, and the rep there told me they were waiting on a confirmation of the winners from the site (RX, I assume) and that the money would be in the accounts tomorrow AM. I have already e-mailed Mike from my registered e-mail address from home about the contest with my account number and info, but have heard nothing back. So, not sure what else I can do. Let me know if I need to do anything else.

Can I ask what the requirements are on this prize? I hope there is not a big rollover requirement placed on it now, after the contest. Maybe I missed it before, but don't think so. Actually, I was a little surprised with the comments before about winning the cash that it was an account, but I certainly understand the process. Let me know if I need to do anything else, and again, many thanks to everyone who did such a great job running this, to the RX and to Players for the opportunity.

I believe it to be a 3 time rollover (no more, thats for sure) which is very reasonable considering essentially there was no entry fee....I am sure once Mike reads your email, sees the final standings results your account will be credited....

The last contest with PSB had a 3X rollover too...

Mike took care of me promptly and although I wouldn't call a $200 deposit to participate a free contest, I do understand having a rollover of some kind, and a 30 day hold. It's a give and take thing, and the $3200 prizes are offset by the $3200 deposits and then it is just plain old gambling for both sides, right? I think 5 times is pretty high but I've definitely seen higher, and it's ok. It's a great prize structure and a great contest, and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Having set up and run many of these contests before myself, I'd merely suggest that you get all that stuff out in the open to avoid problems surfacing after the fact. There are plenty of people who want to jump on unspecified things and it can really ruin what is otherwise a great deal. Thanks very much again to RX, to Journey and others who gave the time to run this, and to Mike and Players for the great opportunity. Top notch. Now, unfortunately I had my great run playing with play money, and it's probably time for Mike to start taking back his prize money from me...

I would never sugarcoat anything when it comes to a contest here....I was under the same impression as everyone, the last contest I did with PSB was a 3x rollover....

When I arrainged the terms for this one I was under the impression it would be the exact same terms as the last one... I do not recall a 30 day hold or 5x rollover...

PS- I hope you win 10 dimes from them,lol..

I will make certain Mike follows up the next time with any specifics...frankly I am slightly disappointed in the mix up...

I'm confused - did you have to make this deposit before or after the contest ended to qualify? In either case, it wasn't free, but if it was before, at least you had the chance to not enter. Are you saying this part wasn't clear when you entered the contest?

Congrats, btw

EYO: Well, if you had to post the $200 to join the contest, no fair quibbling on that part - lol. As far as the rollover requirement, Journey, you honestly thought it was a 3x and yet he found it was a 5x - his point about simply ensuring ALL of the details are made public first (in the future of course) is valid. And of course he made his point in an extremely well-mannered and good-natured way.

Jazz: I was well aware of my requirement of depositing $200 prior to the contest to participate. That was very clear, no problems, and I think a fair (personally) to ask for such a large prize fund. I knew and it was my choice. I got in kind of late and knew it would fill up quickly and wanted to take a shot, so I didn't take the time to ask the specific questions...nothing was said about rollover requirements before or during the contest, and I never asked. I should have, and that is the way it is. My only point here is that there are plenty of people in this kind of thing for the wrong reasons that can raise you know what about it just for sport, and it gives these opportunities not only a negative tint, it sours the book on them and has caused these higher rollovers. I have learned the hard way to spell out absolutely everything in black and white if possible, because wiggle room and surprises are killers.

Again, I am not complaining...I am thrilled to win this. And I'm up for gambling it, although I wish it wasn't so many times through. Thanks again to all. Didn't mean to raise any eyebrows.

As I said, EYO, you never came ac**** in any negative way, at least to me - congrats on hammering them again - but I agree completely with your point, all contest sponsors should simply spell out ALL of their rules out-front especially since there's no reason not to whatsoever, and to avoid any possible misunderstandings later. Full disclosure, eh

Yeah, and I know it can be tough sometimes for busy sites and busy sportsbooks, some who have reps and agents working on their behalf. I have been in Journey's position before, and it's not fun. I've also known the book or rep to be misrepresented, which sucks for them, too. Things can always be overlooked, and this is probably a case where everyone thought they were on the same page. It happens to the best of us. Myself, included.
