Rainbow Man/John 3:16/AKA Roland Stewart who is serving 3 life sentences in Folsom Prison for kidnapping with a weapon. Very sad story.
Everyone remembers Rainbow Man from MNF, The World Series, NBA Finals and all the major sporting events he showed up at. I always thought he had a double. No one became more famous in the stands than Rainbow Man. Little did we know how disturbed an individual he was.
He became so obsessed spreading the word of Jesus that he kidnapped people just for the publicity. Roland had an uncanny ability to always to get the best seats often I'm with the help of stadium personnel. If you were like me when you watched an important sports event you always hoped he would be there. I enjoyed the shot of him in the gallery behind Tom Watson at Pebble Beach. With security and the expense of paying for tickets there will never be another Rainbow Man.

YES, great piece on ESPN.

There was also an article on him in MAXIM a few months back.

Pretty unreal he could have had made a plea bargain at the time of his trial and he could be out on parole right now as we speak.

Keeping this whacko locked up for life is tax money well spent. I am happy to contribute.

WOW!!

It was a sad ending for old Rollen Stewart........

But I don't even think a 55 gallon drum of medicine could help this sick phuck.

After reading that article I realize that Rollen might be more dangerous than the ESPN piece led us to believe. I actually met Rollen in front of Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas in the eighties. He seemed harmless and I just told him I enjoyed seeing him on TV. Who cares if he annoyed TV producers like Chet Forte. The same producers who directed their camera men to shoot shots from the ground of Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders on MNF. TV has become so anitseptic today that they wouldn't show the streaker at the SuperBowl.

I wouldn't be surprised if these recent media reports on Rainbow Man doesn't spark another wave of copy cats.

I think there are still plenty of people who got rich in the dot.com boom and got out with all their money that could see this as a fun way to spend their riches and free time.

Can I get some odd on this?

I met this guy back in the 1980`s, this guy was nuts! I often wondered what ever happened to him...I met him twice, the first time was at the 1983 World Series, I walked up to him outside Memorial Stadium, I asked him how he was able to get such good seats...
He pulls me aside and pulls out a tape recorder and says to me "could you please repeat that" lol...Then after I ask him into his tape recorder he says "the tickets are sent from God" LOL...Hands me a couple pamphlets and walks away...I knew as soon as I was up close he was a nutcase...

Second time I met him was in Atlanta for the ACC Tournament, again he was carrying a tape recorder , I told him I met him in Baltimore and he yelled at me saying "he had never been to the state of Ohio in his life" ...I just walked away...the guy gave me the creeps.

The world would be a whole lot better if everyone
