GUYS, I AM SORRY TO HAVE TO SAY THIS, BUT I HAVE DISCOVERED SOME IRREGULARITIES WHILE CHECKING THE ACCT NUMBERS AND EMAILS OF THE PLAYERS IN THE CONTEST....

I HAVE FOUND A DUPLICATE IP ADDRESS OF 2 PLAYERS IN THE CONTEST, AND A DUPLICATE NAME OF ONE OF THOSE PLAYERS WITH ANOTHER PLAYER...

USUALLY IN A CONTEST WHERE THE PLAYERS ARE REQUIRED TO HAVE ACCOUNTS AT THE BOOK, YOU DONT HAVE TOO MUCH TROUBLE WITH GHOSTING, HOWEVER THESE SIMILARITIES SEEMED TOO MUCH TO ME...

THEY ALSO INVOLVE AT LEAST ONE OF THE PEOPLE WHO WON MONEY THIS WEEK, AND ONE PERSON WHO WON ONE OF THE PAST WEEKS....

I HAVE NOTIFIED SKYBOOK, AND THEY ARE LOOKING INTO IT, THEY HAVE WAYS OF CHECKING ON IT, AND WILL LET ME KNOW TOMORROW MORNING....

UNTIL I HEAR FROM THEM, NONE OF THE ACCOUNTS FOR THIS WEEK WILL BE CREDITED YET, DUE TO THE FACT THAT IF 1 OR MORE PLAYERS ARE DQ'D, THEN OBVIOUSLY THE OTHER PLAYERS WOULD MOVE UP, AND SOME OF THE PLACES WOULD CHANGE.....

I WILL HAVE MORE INFO TOMORROW, SO PLEASE BE PATIENT.....

AS IN ALL CONTESTS, FREE OR NOT, WE LIMIT ONE IP ADDRESS ENTRY PER CONTEST....SO WE HAVE THAT PROBLEM FOR SURE......

I HOPE WE DONT HAVE GHOSTS TRYING TO CHEAT IN THE CONTEST, BUT WE WILL KNOW TOMORROW....

That's pretty depressing. Taking a shot at not just a book but also the Rx and fellow posters. That's lower than low -- downright dispicable! I hope there will be a greater punishment than just a d/q from this contest. Maybe d/q from all contests for a year!? That sounds appropriate. Alternatively, there is the guillotine:

well we dont know for sure yet, but we will know more tomorrow...

The book is looking into it....

But it doesnt look good....

and regardless, i have ip matches, and those are not allowed in contests....

Maybe we could have a sub-contest to guess the identity of the low-life scammers (giving them the benefit of doubt, of course) who are willing to put their own gain ahead of honesty, decency and self-respect.

A one year off is not enough.

THE RX HAS A STRICT RULE WHERE 1 ENTRY PER IP ADDRESS IS ALLOWED IN CONTESTS, AND I CONTACTED THE BOOK, AND THEY CHECKED INTO SOME THINGS, AND THERE IS NO DOUBT IN OUR MINDS THAT THESE 5 PLAYERS ARE THE SAME PERSON, OR AT BEST THEY ARE 2 BROTHERS, GHOSTING AS 5 PEOPLE....DUE TO NAMES, IP'S, ADDRESSES, ETC.....

THE FOLLOWING PLAYERS HAVE BEEN DQ'D FROMT HIS CONTEST, AND WILL NO LONGER BE ALLOWED TO PUT PICKS IN....

I don't know which is more unbelievable...that someone would be such an a-hole to screw us over like that, or that he would be such an idiot as to think he could get away with it.

Is there any discussion at the Rx board level about what to do with contest cheaters in general!? Surely it has to go beyond just a d/q from this contest because we can't send the message that screwing over your fellow players, contest sponsors and organizers is tolerated.
