Deal really seems to be insignificant unless Thomas becomes the player most thought he could be. Right now he is no better than a quality guy off the bench. Van Horn is soft and I can't figure out what Atlanta is trying to do. Get younger with insignificant players?

Thomas is lazy and that is the type of thing that just doesn't change. VanHorn is better in every aspect of the game and he gives twice the effort of Thomas with much better rebounding numbers. VanHorn also seems like more of a small town guy and should be more comfortable in an environment like Milwaukee as opposed to New York.
From the Knicks standpoint I guess they think they're getting more athleticism while ridding themselves of one of Layden's white boys. Picking up Nazr should help down the road if they plan on trading KT or when DM is gone.

Atlanta has as much cap room as any team in NBA history as they will be around 30 million under the salary cap to start next season. It leaves them a ton of room to work out a sign and trade with Rasheed Wallace or possibly sign Kobe long term. How much do you think Kobe would love to go up against Shaq in the finals and win.

Why do you think the nets and sixers teammates wanted to push him out.

VanHorn may be soft and weak, but he's Ron Artest compared to Tim Thomas. Tim Thomas averages 1.5 more rebounds a game than TJ Ford. LOL

Also this may or may not be a coincidence but every team that Keith Van Horn has left has gotten worse when he left.

Milwaukee gets the best of it. Why? Basically an all white town with a big white boy = more fans in the arena. Hate to say it, but it is true. Facts are facts.

Can someone find Thomas and Van Horn's salaries? I know TT is g****ly overpaid, and only in the second or third year of a six year deal i believe. Clay, you must watch alot of Bucks games, I know exactly what you are talking about. It's gonna be great to see him in another uniform.

I think Isaiah is dumping everyone he didn't personally bring in. He sure is giving up alot of draft picks already, though.

There's always next year, like in 75, 90-93, 99 &

partyboy,
The PPATM guys were being accused of being affiliated with the DDOSers and kindly asked the RX to **** out any combination of R-O-S-S (minus the dashes, of course).

As far as I know this was strictly for legal reasons. (ie to not get slapped with libel or slander charges)

Actually, the Nets *did* get worse after Van Horn. They were 52-30 during the 2001-02 season, only 49-33 during the 02-03 season!

sound like beantown Jim but they have to get rid of the white boys, Van Horn and Doleac, cuz Marbury won't play nice in the sandbox with them. Been his m.o. since he refused to play with Gugliotta in Minne.
