Did the Harrah's on Canal St. go belly up?

I have it stuck in my head that they were on the verge of shutting down.

I thought they were doing well. I have some free rooms in March I was going to take advantage of. Likely a little poker, but just using it as someplace to sleep while exploring NO.

Not a chance, that Harrahs is doing better than ever. They are even starting to make a difference in their overall numbers.

Harrah's NO is doing the best it has since opening, and with remodeling, plus elevated dining quality, have made for leaps in the last year.

Treasure Chest, it's competitor has lost a small bit of it's faithfull to Harrah's in the last two years.

Both the state of La and Harrah's seem committed to the land casino making it.

Though Beau Rivage is quite strong with Nawlins locals in the form of weekend escapes.
