I was playing at UB two nights ago, ROunder's was on FX back to back, it usually get's more crowded around that time of the night anyway, I would guess they got three times as much traffic.
Eventually they should buy their own satellite and have their own 24hr poker channel.
The wordlwide growth and explosion in money out there is really mind numbing.

When you run the numbers even conservatively, the amount they haul in is SICK SICK SICK...
In full ring games they deal AT LEAST 45 hands an hour per table and take maximum rake...
Add
the short-handed tables (maximum six people)..probably 70-80+ hands an hour...
Add
tournaments (the big Sunday tournament draws 1100-1300+ people at 15 bucks per person fee...some of the minor tournaments pull in the same number of people albeit at a lower fee)
subtract
affiliate/marketing costs
subtract
admin costs (management, fraud, etc.) and customer service cost (discounted by the fact that they are in India
)
the numbers get pretty large pretty quickly!!! all this at virtually no risk. 9 figure revenues EASILY and I'm guessing they probably clear figures like that in profit as well.

PartyPoker is based on the Kahnawake reserve just like evryones favorite bash book "Sportsinteraction". The only ones that see any cash flow from this venture are the owners. No tax on the reserve when holding a band card and not to mention that most of the owners are residing in the Cayman Islands and Barbados due to the fact they are stincking rich and don't have to explain shit to the taxman. If the governments would allow the legitimate business man run a few cardrooms in Candada instead of letting the Mohawks funnel it out of the country, the local economy would thrive. The city of Ottawa had legal poker rooms until that ****ing casino opened in Hull. Now no more holdem, just bullsit dump your wallet here games.

Who is your source and why would they have first hand knowledge? That 75% number is absurd. I MIGHT believe that their total expenses are 75% of revenue.

I heard it from a owner of a competing Poker site. 75% is not that absurd if you think that that still leaves over 67 Million dollars for the few employees that Party Poker has and Hosting. 67 Million dollars will pay a lot of salaries and website maintenance and still leave a large chunk of change in the pocket. Plus they would be stupid not to re-invest the profits to even further the lead they have in the market

75% seems absurd if you think about the type of advertising they've done, when they have done it and where....it's not like they are advertising on CBS during CSI.
Their biggest marketing expense probably comes from affiliates and they only pay those folks like 20-25% of the rake or a small sign up fee/bonus.
