New Orleans Voodoo....

I come in today and look at my Don Best screen and see that we now have a team called "Voodoo"...

Im not sure if I should but I kinda feel uncomfortable with the moniker "Voodoo"... I dont know if this has happened to any of you but I just dont think a professional sports team should use something like voodoo to represent them. No, Im not easily offended, wasnt offended by Janet Jacksons boob last Sunday but I just dont think Voodoo should be used here.

Yes Im aware of New Orleans background and no I dont know the very basics of voodoo but as far as I know its roots are rather dark and evil and has pretty much nothing innocent about it.
In fact, talking about it with the other guys on stage, its hard to differentiate or even define it simply as a practice, a religion, a religious belief or what.

I appologize if I've offended anyone who practices voodoo *you never know* but I simply dont see anything positive coming out of this. If I am wrong about voodoo, feel free to comment or correct me, in all honesty I dont know much about voodoo and what I do know makes me think its not right for a team to be endorsing it....

Also, you've got Hurricanes and Cyclones. Should teams glorify natural disasters?

I don't have a problem with Voodoo.

Good point a bout devils and demons, if they are sanctioned, voodoo should be no problem.

Down in the swamps of SC in the Beaufort area, there are people who swear by this.
