I'd like to see Therx people grant a standing ovation for Ken !

Yes, and I mean it. I've been reading a lot of threads lately and it seems a lot of people believe Shrink is the devil.....

It took me a long time to establish a relationship with Ken . We had clashes, fights, arguments. I have learned to know him the hard way. Yet I feel this rough beginning has helped me to get to know the real Ken. No one on earth is a saint, and he is not the exception. Hence I am truly convinced he is a man with a HUGE heart. If he fails its because crooks take advantage of his good nature.

I know for a fact he is, and will always be, ready to jump into flames if he feels he may have directly or indirectly damaged a player.

This is why I wish posters will stop the bashing and go in the opposite direction. This Industry still needs more people like Ken.

If I'm one of the posters you're referring to obliquely, Roberto, I'm not bashing him. I'm stating the facts concerning panam - he used his personal assurances to back panam and he was incorrect in his assumptions that management translated to ownership, and yes, he takes a big hit on that concerning the worth of his word as sufficient coin of the realm to consider putting money into a book - period. I personally never said he was the 'devil'. However, insofar as your personal opinion of the Shrink goes, that's great - to me, it's irrelevant.

Bash somebody? Shrink takes money to advertise lies and people ended up getting ripped off because of it. What he did in this case borders on consumer fraud and if I had any money in PanAm I would be calling the Federal Trade Commission and demanding an investigation.

roberto makes a very valid point.

would you be better of worse off if not for the RX.

Sure ken should not have beaten panam for 12.732 million dollars and then they would not be in this mess. but its not his fault he just tries to win like everyone else. how could he have know that 12 way money line dog parley could have hit. as i understand it he was just throwing darts.

really the rx, majorwager, and others are at the mercy of of books. its all about information and with the info they receive they make decisions. doing this is not a fool proof method this is not the first and won't be the last time an rx book goes under. there is risk as with anything in life. sure he pumped PanAm do you think he made all of this up to make a few k on advertising. PanAm was supposed to be as good as they come they had a good set up supposedly good people behind it, but guess what they got beat they were not making money there is no way to predict that.

it amazes me that books can go under i booked when i was younger and make plenty of money. it seems to me that you can't loose but obviously with sharper internet cliental this is almost a certainty if your not a super sharp bookmaker.

ken and the rx were wrong they have addmited as much. now they are trying to get people paid. the rx is only a tool in choosing a book and it can't be the only. nothing can compare to the player asking around keeping their ears open and gut feelings. its your money you and only you can protect it.

Its easy for those who are not directly involved in the BetPanAm debacle to flame and bash to no end....The fact still remains REAL PEOPLE LOST REAL MONEY....

The reality that money was stolen again by the bookmaker`s cannot be lost in all of this, and for any other new book it will be that much harder to find instant credibilty...No matter who is touting them!

The forum is still the best tool in sorting thru the BS...And those that are left standing are there for a reason...

As a community of poster`s we are all our best source for exchanged information, and that is the best part about this site...of course TheRx is in it from a business stand point as well, and that is where the scrutiny will always be...

Like in any aspect of life, its up to us (as individuals) to determine our best odds!!!
