Its going to look awfully funny when Dante has his girls up 13 with 30 seconds to go scrambling to shoot a 3 pointer to cover the -15.5 that he bet with the local shop....

WOW

Unfortunate for THRILLOFGAMBLING as his bet of +7 on CLARKSTON will be voided due to a date change.

Fish,

Rail's only interested in little boys playing games, not little girls.

Dante,

I"m proud of you for taking the time and effort to do this. I did it for my niece and I swore never again. Between wanting to kill the refs, parents and kids I was lucky to stay out of prison... and the pay sucks too.

100% TRUE STORY!

When I was 19, I was asked to be the homeplate umpire for a championship Little League game that add NO extra innings.

To make a long story short, in the bottom half of the LAST inning, the score was tied 14-14 and the home team had the bases loaded, two out, and a 3-2 count on the hitter.

It all came down to this ONE pitch and I was shaking in my shoes as there literally were 3-400 rabid parents and fans from both sides in the stands.

I decided before the pitch that ANYTHING close I was going to call a strike. I even told the hitter this.

Sure as shit the little bastard let one go by right down the middle about chin high. I had to call it a strike.

The home team fans were ready to lynch me.

I barely got to my car alive between all the paraphanalia being thrown at me and the insults they were hurling at me.

That was the last Little League game I ever umpired.

I used to coach 8-10 yr olds as well as 12-14 yr olds.

The young kids were much more coachable and the teamwork was downright amazing. I remember designing a four point play to tie the game and send it to overtime and watch it work to perfection.

For the older kids, we just ran and pressed the whole game. "Running the system" often produced some odd scores. One game we only had 6 kids and we got slaughtered 86-43. We played the same team the next time with a full squad and beat them 126-115. Mind you this was with four 8 minute quarters and a running clock. So the stats were often mind numbling. One game we had 43 three-pointers, and my 2 guard (who was told to shoot anytime he had the ball past halfcourt) was 26 for 38 from threes and had 82 points.

After Dantes team first loss, I instructed the coach to show more emphasis on blocking out.

Rebounding is key in 6th grade basketball, boys or girls.

You see the result!

FISHHEAD, Dante will not admit how much one has helped him. He uses people to get what he needs then acts like he knew it all. I brought the young jedi far, and now your efforts are showing too.

Thanks
