From his cell in North Carolina, Carruth agreed to sit down with Thump City reporter Matt Doig and give an exclusive interview.

THUMP CITY: Rae, how's life in prison?

RAE CARRUTH: Aw dog, it's ****ing wack in here. They got me locked up in solitary so I can't even hang with the other fellas. They we're playing football in the yard the other day, and I would've ****ed shit up out there. It's ****ing bullshit locking a brother up like this.

TC: Why were you hiding in the trunk of a car in Tennessee?

RC: I knew those pigs was looking for me, so I was looking for a good place to hide. First I hid under a bed, but I knew that was no good. Then I stood real straight and put a lampshade on my head, and I thought that was real smart. But then I figured they'd try and turn the lamp on and I'd get caught. That's when I tried the trunk.

TC: The guard is telling me I have to leave because it's time for your body cavity search, so in the holiday spirit, what do you want for Christmas?

RC: Johnnie Cochrane. He needs to come up with a rhyme for the jury, like he did for O.J. with that, "If it doesn't fit, you must acquit." I've been thinking up some myself... "If the bitch was pregnant and shit, you must acquit." Or, "Let this brother go, and he won't kill another ho."

I thought the above was more funny than in bad taste. On second thought I tried to delete but it wouldn't let me. Oh well, it is a little funny.
