wilheim, general, shrink, angelle, dante, Fishhead...& many others.

It is rare that you guys come into the sports forums with a play & a little bit of DD backing that play. I am sure all of us RX'ers would love to hear who you are playing from time to time...

SS - As a rule I do not like to tout people. During the NFL season I posted some opinions the last one being a light-hearted reply to a poster regarding a teaser he liked:

Walk - first off - Best of Luck with the play.

As far the teaser goes I think based on Super Bowl histroy the over is definitely the way to go. You have to go back to 1975 to find a SB that ended with less than 28 total points. Natrually that does not automatically make over 31.5 a winner but over clearly is the way to play a SB total teaser.

Now the real dilemma; is -1 better than +13. Well that very much depends on who you like to win the game. I assume a push and a win is no bet in this case. So the -1 can't beat you. If it can beat you then are really laying 1.5. Anyway you are only asking the Pats to win on the field by any score, and as you know to me this is critical, any scenario where the Pats win the game will cover that side of the teaser. Looking long and hard at this game I have come to the conclusion that a win by the Pats by any score is much more apt to happen than a win by the Panthers by any score (which is what needs to happen for you to lose). So for FWIW. I LOVE this bet as a fun of gambling play. Would I bet mortgage money on it, no. Would I risk the cash I had saved up to buy my better half a Valentine Day gift on it, certainly. Go for it.

Panthers stand very good chance to win their game outright on the carpet in St. Louis.

Sat. Selections (lines from Pinnacle)

Carolina Panthers - 3 (-102, not sure if juice matters),

Tennessee Titans - 1 (-105)

Both for 2 units.

FWIW - The Eagles D. held held Brett Favre to 10 completions in 20 attempts for just 99 yards over the final three quarters.
Their run defense played like they usually do, The Eagles got torched for 210 rushing yards, including 156 by Ahman Green. But they thwarted the Pack two out of three times in the red zone, including a goal line stand in which the Eagles stuffed Green for no gain on a fourth-and-one run from the one at the end of the first half. I say it is debatable as to which defense is really better. We will find out on Sunday. btw. CB Troy Vincent ran Monday and said he thinks he will be able to return to the lineup Sunday. Vincent has missed the last three games with a hip flexor injury. And the real key is FS Brian Dawkins, who is back to All-Pro form. Dawkins, who missed nine games earlier this season with a foot injury, had eight tackles and intercepted the Brett Favre pass that set up the Eagles' game-winning field goal.

Last one - MNF Eagles - Dolphins.

Good luck, but I will be rooting for the Eagles tonight. Watch for RB Brian Westbrook to come up big tonight.

SS- I know what you mean, I just posted these examples to show you that I do leave a play (not sure how strong) from time to time. My best sports happen to be Football and baseball, so right now I am not posting any plays. I know General has a good handle on Arena football and the other mods all have their strong suits. To be honest, I think the everyday cappers in the different sports forums are much sharper than myself. You know who I am talking about. Anyway if I see something that looks worth a bet I will be sure to post it.

Thanks, wil.
