Have heard rumors (to which I cannot verify) of looser machines being placed at intersections where the banks of machines meet.....reason being that winners paid out on these machines are noticed by more gamblers, thus encouraging them to pump thier own machine to get to thier own winner....if this is true it would make sense, cause who the hell notices someone in the corner raking in the coins......
I never was much into slot machines....when I went to the casino I tried sticking to blackjack....seemed like the person next to me was always betting table minimums and getting 10's and 11's and never taking advantage of it, while I was getting fed a steady diet of 15's and 16's betting like 5 or 10 times more money.....last time out (which was about 9 years ago) I sat next to a person who got a pair of aces dealt to him....dealer had a six up.....instead of splitting the aces, he HIT the aces, got a king to make 12, then HIT AGAIN, got another king, to bust with 22......Jesus Christ he could have had a pair of 21's splitting them.....
Thier usual explanation is that they "would have too much money at risk at one time".......like 2 dollars more on one hand would kill them when they are going to spend 5 or 6 hours there playing how many hands of blackjack? Absurd.
I gave up the casino trips and have stuck with sports gambling......mainly totals......free agency and salary caps have ruined the ability to pick a team in pro football with any consistencey....at least thats my opinion....watched too many prevent defenses and upsets......2 or 3 or even 10 points to me isn't appealing when who knows even which team is going to win the goddamn game? Cleaned up on the Super Bowl and the Pro Bowl betting the overs....I'm glad I didn't have to sweat out that last minute when Carolina drove the field to tie the game......tough to take a dog or a favorite anymore with the current state of the game......
I guess in general i gave up the casinos trips as they looked more chance involved than sporting events that seem more talent involved....
