REGARDING BET PAN AM....

I am truly sorry for whose of you who have not yet been paid out by them...

They promised me it would happen SOONER, rather than LATER, and at this point, I don't know what to believe...

When I went down there to visit, I felt that I did the necessary steps to ensure that gamblers could send them money and feel safe...

I met with Scotty, Marty and their main investor.

They REALLY IMPRESSED me with their plans and more importantly, with that so called 500k BOND they boasted about....

I have also known Scotty and Marty for YEARS and their word has always been golden...

I guess without proper regulation from the US government, the only way to be sure is to TRUST sports books with a PROVEN track record, and before you post up with any other sports books that may entice you with incredible bonuses and perks, ask the gamblers who use this forum what their expereince has been...

This place is one of the better resources that we have when checking about sports books...

Shrink, what exactly do we know right now? imo. the lack of any updates from BetPamAm themselves is what frustrates everyone. Especially those owed money.

This is the advice you should have given in the beginning, go with the books with a proven track record and rock-solid payout reputations.

So much of your "6 figures" you said you'd trust them with are you getting stiffed for? Lemme guess, NOTHING. I bet you and your buddies took all the $ Panam had left, you got paid, now youre posting saying the situation is bleak. also, how does your nephew you said you sent there feel about being stiffed?

Sorry Shrink but it was your JOB to ENSURE that there was an actual bond paid, the purpose of this bond, how the bond was supposed to protect the players, and who in the hell within the Panamanian government is responsible for the administration of said bond. Not merely accept their word about it and parrot this "boasting" as if it was gospel.

So, because you knew Scotty and Marty for years you did not feel it was a "necessary step" to do any verification on the bond's existence before you yourself boasted to the world about it?

Also, every "golden" word out of their mouth for the past 3 weeks has turned out to be a lie, yet they never lied prior to this? Possible but not likely.

I don't have to ask if you've researched the supposed escrow account of bodog you posted about.

Sal - FWIW - I can easily say with the benefit of 20-20 hindsight that recommending BetPanAm was a huge mistake. That said, what can be done to make the best of what appears to be a very bad situation. I for one would very much like to hear from BetPanAm upper management. Continued silence is just not helping. I do understand that just posting hold-ons is equally frustrating for everyone. imo. it is time for this book to fish or cut bait. Let us know the truth now.

Wil, let me predict Scotty's next post:

"We finally just completed more meetings. The good news is that the investors have finally come to agreement, now we just need some time to officially document things and then they will release the money they've stolen (whoops, maybe Scotty wouldn't use those last 2 words) and once we get it, we will send it out. Everyone will be paid."

And when he says these words, just as he did last week, they will mean even less than they did then.

Yeah, or only play with Australian books. They are good as a book regulated by the U.S.
