Refs call a lane-violation on GP because he was standing inside the 3-point line on Iverson's FT. GP starts yapping and gets a double-tech. See ya, GP!
Later in the 1st Qtr, Medvedenko blatantly steps into the lane before Iverson misses a FT. Refs don't call anything.
What are the NBA refs doing? They randomly decide to call (or not call) obvious violations on certain players. Then when the players question the call, the refs give them a tech.
If the refs would simply call the game "by the book", you wouldn't have these problems. You can't blame players for getting mad when the refs enforce a violation that they've ignored for most of the game. It was almost like they called the violation on GP just to see his reaction.
