When we see that mysterious ending where the kid fumbles or bricks both free throws (like the St Joe game two nights ago

)

I just wonder how many of these kids (probably the ones with no pro future) have action on a game? Face it alot of these athletes come from inner city poverty, and when they can fix a handful of games that could change the way they exist, you can bet it happens week in and week out...

Just think what two-three teammates could do in a basketball game...

And the Ref's?

you know they are 'working' the totals in hoops

Doesn't sound all that far fetched. I do know for a fact that at big schools like Oklahoma, Nebraska, etc. that a lot of alumni throw HUGE money at these programs, and they want to know from the head coach whether they will be running the score up against South florida this week. is this unethical? Probably, but i will guarantee that it happens.

ALKI- you can tell college coaches are well aware of the number

no doubt about that...I have seen Penn State and Notre Dame throw bombs up by 20 with 20 seconds left if they aren't covering...Lou and Joe Pa are notorious for this..

without a doubt, when money is involved there will always be somebody doing something fishy.

There is no question it happens. Big favorites or big dogs getting the best player to ease up a little and make sure the game stays just under the spread or over the spread. Now with a total on every college hoops and football game it has become that much easier to pull it off.

Even more so is the unintended stuff. Imagine your buddies with the star RB. You see him limping and ask him whats going on. He tells you it hurts like you wouldn't believe, but coach says I gotta play with pain. You go out and don't tell him, but you make a little wager a la the Clarett story. No one knows any better, but that could be what the NCAA bars, giving out information like that to someone who ends up gambling.

The stupid thing is the NCAA thinks that they can stop it. This stuff will never be stopped. They can ban it from anywhere imaginable and people will still find a way to make money off of it. They don't even seem to accept the fact that at least organized bookmakers can spot something really fishy. I am sure the books are scared s**tless over posting a total on every NCAA game and watch that action like a hawk, and if stuff comes up they probably call up people at other shops and compare notes.

As on Wall St there are a few really really "in the know", and there are the rest of us.

We all see the bullshit surrounding players, reffs, coaches, boosters,even down to the phucking towel boy. The people involved in games can be programed just like Dell when you wave the right $$$ in their face. New nnews today per Clarret's booster and SBG global.Scrutiny grows over Clarett's benefactor
