Having played u37.5 with time ticking down in a scoreless first half, the girlfriend walks by and comments that my bet looks promising.

She tells me later that she should have known better. Why do females do that? She knew better.

Just wanted to set the record straight with full disclosure.

Bases - Sorry but the info while most likely the real reason the game went over is no good to anyone now. To bad you did'nt post it right after she put the curse of death on the under. That way we could have bet all we had had on over in the second half. Well its water over the dam, but it does explain a lot. Thanks for the full disclosure. Promising, how can she say promising, she had to know better.

No, keep her she could be very powerful in future big games. Maybe the NCAA Final 4 or something big like that. Bases you know you can't force her to comment about how good your bet looks, it has to come natrual to work. Does she like the race track?

Wil, if I ever change my avatar from Michael it would have to be to "The Mush". Sounds like his woman has got the gift of Mushness.

Sun Devil - Mushness is not easy to come by and should be jealously guarded when the real thing is available. You just can't buy a good Mush anywhere these days.

Sub Z. Dan Patrick on Sportscenter just said the SB half-time show was a "Bust" with a big smile on his face.

Ya' Wil she likes the track. Her favorite was the Hollywood dog track. THE best Philly cheese steaks sandwiches. Grandstand level. An African American fellow at the grill. Some days we would have one for lunch, then back for dinner. I've tasted many from coast to coast as we travel a bit, and these things are top shelf.

Sorry, haven't eaten yet. Race track questions make me think of that spot.

Unfortunatly the curse can only be cast once the wager is verified. There are no other angles to fade a pic, as she knows to only wager dogs and plus money, which would leave me to buy a favorite, something I haven't done in 10 years.

She is quietly doing c****words right now, and knows not to mention the Flames game.. 1st o1.5 +150, which is off in 16 minutes.

Anyway, I'm left with no angles. Maybe buy a favorite small, then jam the other side if she mentions something. But it has to come naturally, and many favorites may have to be bought before opportunity knocks...

Bases - very touchy situation, best not to tempt the forces of Mushdom. Let it happen natrually, and then spread the word everwhere you can to us downtrodden bettors. If Jarome Iginla is injured seriously tonight we will all know the reason.

She silently finished the c****word, and just smiled @ the Flames game.

I love her again.

GL to all on the other side and to all a good night

Wil, I'll post if able, but if she speaks up at crunch time, you'll have a small window...

There was a time when I was superstitious, and was irate when someone "mouthed" a team of mine with the kiss of death, back then I thought it was the worst way to lose a game, but am too old for such stuff now..losing a baskets affair on the last play by the ref's "homer calls" is now my pet-peeve.

And winning a college football game without your team scoring a single point(or held only to a FG) is still the sweetest.

Bases, the thread was fun, I enjoyed it.

Horseshoe, I am also getting to old to seriously believe in any superstition.

In any event, best of luck to both of you guys.
