Neteller Question...about the debit card

If you have money on your Debitcard and for some reason, which we know wion't happen, neteller goes belly up just for the sake of this question...Would your money not still be there if it was ON the debit card since it is out of that OMNI bank and not still technically IN your neteller account??

I am guessing that if Neteller was going belly up that they would withdraw all their money from that bank and your debit card would be deemed worthless.

Not sure however.

Neteller, like any offshore book, is not 100% safeproof.

if you can go to an atm machine and see your balance, that money is in the atm networks bank. Neteller should be required to have funds in the atm networks bank before letting you see that balance or withdrawal funds. otherwise they would be in vololation of their agreement

Your money would still be on deposit with FSV. You would still be able to log into FSV and see your balance and transactions.

Another point. I don't know if they still do, but Neteller used to charge $1 to check your debit card balance from their web site. I always log into FSV directly and check it for free.

Is the Neteller debit card much like a regular ATM card? I mean are you limited to a daily amount you can withdraw?

I'm a little confused on how this FSV works in relation to Netteller. Can someone expand on this? I took a look at the FSV site but not sure how it works. thx.

scrubb... FSV is the stored dollar value card behind the neteller debit card...They store the value when you do a withdrawal

Didn't realise that the Neteller card was an FSV deal. FWIW, not that I think that there is anything to worry about with Neteller, but FSV is a rock-solid, well-establsihed and well-respected company in the payment processing industry, and any funds you have on an FSV card are very much safe. Even safer if your wife doesn't know you have the card.

you can withdraw any amount that is on your debit card, however you can only withdraw $1,000 per day on to your debit card but if you have done this 10 days in a row you can withdraw $10,000 in one day from an atm, you just got to do a bunch of atm withdrawls.

Also, FSV is based in Houston, so Uncle Sam can still keep an eye on you if you use this method to withdraw large amounts...
