BetJamaica has Pats -6.5 while Olympic has NE -7

I think Spiro owns both these books. He gets NE money at -6.5, and he gets Carolina money at +7. He ends up getting balanced action on the Superbowl and cleans up on the vig. What do you guys think of this theory.

I know they have different management teams but Bet JM is housed in the same place as Olympic's office complex so it's not like they couldn't talk to each other about the lines. As for Spiro I know he backs JM financially but I'm not sure on ownership.

the fact the BETJM is STILL hanging -6.5 with no extra juice is troubling to me.

why not -120? Why not -7? Ever since Aces Gold these things make my stomach turn - not that in any way I am comparing it to aces gold - its just that they cant be getting action on carolina.

As little as I know, I think Judge gave you the answer already. I'd say the Greek's opinion is that this game will NOT land right on the number. Then again, remeber Spiros is an offsetting master, he usually has a game plan and the takers to sell his opinion.

Walk,thing you are right.And although 7 is the second most frequent # odds are long that it lands.Not saying it won't,just looking at odds.

OK - but then why not hang -6.5 -120?

You would still get the action you are looking for but get paid more for it.

Its also rather odd that Jamaica has stuck with 38 on total(the minority view) while Spiro's Olympic has stayed at common 37.5.
These books are run too well so they must have a coordinated game plan on these differences.
By the way, does anybody know if roof is on or off for SB?
