what does a well-managed book do when getting hit like that?????
cut the freakin limits........not offer bigger bonuses.......
sharp money is the easiest to manage.......the problem is too many shops put them on too high.........no shame in putting everybody on a max for a few dimes when starting out..(betpanam)
say what you will about books with dime limits on sides and nickles on totals.............but they will be around alot longer than alot of shops.......

Dime No question about the limits. Some linesmen ( never really liked that term) have egos and feel they can't be beat. I really don't know if that is what happened in Panama, but I have seen it elsewhere. Some business is just not worth the headaches that go with it.

BIG EGOS...........yep very common in this business.......my head gets so big sometimes its hard to hold up..........lol
but WIL..... it seems like books nowadays forgot the fact that you have to BE PREPARED TO PAY THE DAMN WINNERS..........
furthermore you have to expect the worse......weeks when EVERYBODY WINS...........thats what keeps your EGO from putting you in the poorhouse.......
WIL...... a few weeks back on a monday night......an absolute mathematical anomaly happened........never in my 10yrs of booking......(showed the figures to people in the biz over 30) and they shook their heads....) ever game went the players way, every parlay 2-team, 3team, 4 team, it was unreal.......biggest loss in a single day for us outside of foots... but in a way it was worse, because it caught me totally off guard........my point is you have to be prepared for the unexpected..
