I had to go through there on the way to Lake Charles, La a couple of times. I landed at the
airport and rented a car. It was about 10pm so
I asked at the car rental agency where I could grab dinner in downtown Houston. He said there
is nothing open. I said it's the fourth largest city in the United States, there has to
be plenty of 24 hour restaurants downtown. He said Denny's. I said don't insult my intelligence. I said there are business people arriving on late flights at the airport and your telling me they are out of luck. This is the town hosting the Superbowl in 2004. What a
f**king joke!!!!

Just kidding, been to Houston a couple times and i love it, pretty sure the car rental clerk didn't had a clue, even here in Costa Rica you can find some places open 24/7, apart from dennys, my personal favorites are the casinos

I've lived in H-town before, and for being the 4th largest metro, it doesn't actually offer much in late night dining, it is an oversized cowtown in some ways, a very "9-to-5/lights out at nine/2.2 kids/house in the burbs town."

Try Katz' 24 Hr Deli and House Of Pie, or some of the taquerias, they are better than his suggestion, or room service.

By day try Anthonys, Auntie Changs, Cafe Annie, Denis Seafood, the Pappas Bros chains, etc..
