Sharp locals, big and small, around the country have often given two sets of numbers out to clients, depending on their MO, bias, areas of strength, regionality, and sophistication levels.

In the past, you just had to have friends that went into the same outs, that they did not know you were chums with, to verify quickly that they did so..or buy one of their clerks or runners on the QT.

I have spoken to enough guys to believe that they take a hard look at players who win every week no matter how big or small they bet. any sharp bookie shop would do this whether off-shore or in the states.

Im gonna have to say NO!

Any smart bookmaker would have shaded in the past. That is, they would have given you higher priced favorites if you are a player, or they would have given you lower valued dogs, if you are more sophisticated, while dealing at the least, 2 sets of lines to its clientelle.

However, any shop that has grown to the status of top 3, or even top 20 in the world, has accrued enough public square action to see that they are better off fixing their line for all of their clients earlier rather than later, based on their sharper action.

No one can convince me that a shop with serious size needs to deal more than one line set.
Of course, many will disagree... and as they grow older and wiser, they'll see the light.
