Thoughts on the Super Bowl.

I must admit that the panthers +6.5 (or hopefully 7) is one of my favourite plays of the year. I don't remember a play on the super bowl I liked so much.

If I'm not mistaken, when handicapping a football game you usually add 3 points for the home team. Considering this game is being played on neutral grounds no home field advantage is caculated into the line. That would make N.E. 9-10 point favourites at home vs. Carolina....I don't think so. Carolina has played tight games all year long and there is no reason they can't win this game outright. Two great D's going head to head, and frankly I think Carolina's offense has been more impressive than N.E. this postseason.

If anyone wants to shed light on this issue please do so. Am I missing something? I have a futures bet on Carolina, however I will still be playing Carolina for the side....that's how much I like it.

About 3-27 lifetime picking a Superbowl side winner and I like Carolina too.

I have another week to look into it but I do not see Carolina and there offense keeping up with NE Offense.. Just do not see it

A lot of people are making comparisons with Carolina in the '04 Super Bowl and The Patriots in the '02 Super Bowl. The problem is Carolina is playing The Patriots defense and and not St. Louis' "D". Two years ago The Patriots moved the ball whenever they had to, including the last 40 seconds of the game. As I have said before, Carolina may score off a turnover and a short drive but I can't see them driving 60-80 yards for a touchdown.
