the biggest problem i have is betting too many games.during c-ball season, especially on a wedenesday and saturday, i find myself betting so many games. I do my capping and so many games standout as good plays. But the problem arises when these games i like turn into losers and puts me in a hole to dig out of. My fear is this, if i narrow the games to only a certain #, i find it hard on which gmaes i would take and which to leave out. thus running the risk of losing my plays and winning the ones i leave out? understand where i'm coming from. I know i bet too many games, and i want to reduce my exposure. however, i find it hard excluding certain games. i sometimes bet a higher amount of some stronger plays, but usually all my plays get the same bet amount. how do others narrow their strong plays down and leave out others thus not having too much exposure?

Tough to do, but cap as many games as you like, then play only the top 2-4 that you like. The Vig will eat you alive with to many plays.

c-man,

I cap using a number of factors, as does everyone I assume, and of course the factors can go both ways. The strongest plays are the ones in which all the factors (or almost all) are pointing in the same direction. Set yourself a limit of how many factors need to point in that direction (say 6 out of 9) to make a bet. If only 5 of 9 are favorable, tell yourself it's too close and even if you have a slight edge you'll get killed by the vig. You need to have more than just a slight edge to place a bet. Just keep saying that to yourself.
